I saw Gary Schmidt today and he had the latest test shot of the 1948 Chevy Coupe kit. Sorry, no pics yet but I'm awaiting some to be emailed to me. The car looked really nice. We should see this new Galaxie Kit sometime late in the year.

I usually don't side with the spelling and grammar police on here, but one word just grinds my mind. What you think is wala, whalla, or wahla is in fact spelled "viola". It's french...learn it...use it!

What's the story behind your user name/avatar?
lordairgtar replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I was a big karaoke fan and went by the name of Captain Air Guitar (a handle a really cute female Karaoke host gave me). Somewhere along the line it changed to Lord Air Guitar. I eventually went into DJing car shows and the Air Gtar Entertainment company was born. Spelled that way because of the amount of letters you are allowed on a license plate. Here is my first DJ hauler And my second hauler And my latest hauler See a pattern here? LOL. The avatar is a shot from my fave anime, InuYasha. The girl is kagome and the boy is the half demon InuYasha. He is a dog demon and Inu is the japanese word for dog. -
Shelby Daytona Coupe Body Color
lordairgtar replied to jwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I had a diecast red Coupe. A guy that owns a coupe and a roadster both built by Factory 5, told me there was no red Daytona. Now I can give him the business about it. Not to worry, he's a friend and has a sense of humor concerning his cars. He even lets kids climb in them at shows. -

Ta me ya. A Japanese woman at my work taught me the pronunciation after I tried to impress her with my Japanese speaking skill. She did translate some Japanese only kit instructions for me too. And yes, Porsche has that little emphasis on the e at the end, just like the fire suppresion and fire alarm company called Kidde. Always thought the e was silent but it's pronounced kidduh. -
Would still like to see the shiny you made.

Hang in there, ranma. Lots of good people on this forum who have your back and are willing to help if they can.

Actually it does snow in Hawaii, up on Mauna Kea volcano. This year 49 states got snow. None in Florida.

Barris had nothing to do with it. It's a Stoner Ambulance that was modified at the 20th Century studio shops. -
Dodge tracked vehicle
lordairgtar replied to lordairgtar's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Interesting. No Dodge emblem but a FLEXTRACK-NODWELL badge and a F-N 670 call out on the door. -
Wouldn't this make an awesome work vehicle or post apocolyptic machine?

The seller did say in his ad that sometimes these older build ups do come apart during transit. -

2013 Dodge Dart !
lordairgtar replied to moparmagiclives's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I had one of those crappy cars from the 80s and my mom had the Plymouth Duster version. They were actually very nicely done cars. I'd like to find another, but all have seemed to succumbed to the rust monster. The floor boards basically got soft and you could put your foot through the floor. As far as mechanics, they ran forever. -

Too bad Chevy killed the HHR, better than Cube or Soul -
Boring builds...
lordairgtar replied to '08SEAL's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Of course you could make an interesting historical diorama out of it. Build it but put Russian Tu - 4 markings on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-4 -
