Tamiya clear yellow brushed over kit chrome gives a pretty good gold color. I used that on the V8 emblems on the Revell '57, and that gave a nice scale looking gold effect.
Scenes Unlimited had a one-piece version of those, but they are sold out...I bought a set or two, and they are a quality product. Hopefully they'll offer them again.
That's a good looking build, but you know, I really like the interior. I've noticed on previous builds you've shown that you really excel on the interiors--they look very real! NIce work!!
Thanks, Rob, that's what I needed to know. I've got at least one of the older issues, so I guess I'm good. Gotta agree with you on the box art--between the red car on the box ends and the blue one on the box side I almost bought a new one!
If you decide to abandon 1/72 scale and go to 1/35, ICM has a complete line of 1/35 figures of WW One armies. They appear to be well detailed...check Squadron to see what's available if you go that way.
