  1. Very nice. Clean, sits right...all in all, excellent work!
  2. Nice work!
  3. I bought a couple different colors of the Testor's lacquer car colors for $1.57/can today in San Marcos, TX. They were on a free-standing display near the model aisle. Haven't looked at any others to see if all stores are putting some on sale, though.
  4. I've never built a NASCAR model before, but I happened upon an AMT Bobby Hamilton Country Time Oldsmobile, so I'm going to try my first. My question is: what color should it be? I could use suggestions for a rattle can yellow that matches the car's color. I appreciate any assistance y'all can give me! Jim
  5. One of my favorite places to visit when I go to Dallas. It's not for the faint of heart if you're bothered by cigarette smoke, though, as I remember. Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area.
  6. A business card works very well, and won't damage finish. I collect them wherever I go, because they'll lose the corner quickly.

Shapely little things, aren't they? Nice work on that one!
  8. What about the chrome wheels in the Revell '49 chopped Mercury? They seem kinda large to me...
  9. Prime, sir, prime!
  10. Wonderful paint! As mentioned above, that color is gorgeous! Nice work!!
  11. Wow, that's adding insult to injury!
  12. Thanks for a neat tour!! I really enjoyed seeing your neighborhood, and the pride you take in your community is obvious. I also enjoyed your historical knowledge of the area, and I'm hoping you do it again and show us stuff you left out this time. Thanks, Joe!
  13. Wishing y'all a Happy Canada Day from down here in San Antonio, Texas. Viva Canada!!
  14. You have good taste, and great skills! I like it!
  15. That's funny!! But as my grandmother used to say, "cash is always appropriate".
  16. Very nice detail work--it's easy to see the effort you put into that Ford. Congrats on a great looking model!
  17. VERY nice!! Really like the wheels and hub caps.
  18. Pretty...what color is that?
  19. Terrific looking Riv! And I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one who models other people's cars recalled from distant memory.
  20. Very nice!! Why do you think you should have used another clear?
  21. Moving on here--I've got one I let go for much less than that!
  22. Don't know about y'all, but I can't have too many sets of Torque Thrust looking five spoke wheels, and the tires won't be bad either. Bring 'em on!
  23. Thanks, guys. I'll check those out.
  24. Shiny!!
  25. Can you guys suggest sources for street rod tires? What I'm looking for are sets similar to the tires in the Revell '29 and '30 Ford Model A kits--skinny, smaller fronts and wider, taller rear tires. I'm looking for that '50s street rod look. Thanks for any help y'all can provide!
