  1. I really like this one .. someone finally closed off the side in front, though it's hard in this photo to tell everything. Are those door handles ahead of the door? edit: I saved the file and lightened it up. That's just some trim ornament in front of the door. And most of the front suspension is visible under the hood, so sides don't come all the way forward. It does give me ideas for all the VW kits in the basement!
  2. Repeating most of what's been said ... I use tape when I can with large body parts and frame. Micro Mark Liquid tape is the best I've found for getting things to stick quickly. White glue is fine if I want to wait a day for a quick mockup .. no thank you.
  3. I blink my eyes and another is almost done before I looked! All you Plastic beware of Ira and his Dremal! Beware the Iras of March!
  4. Nicely done
  5. Was fantastic seeing this come together and the end result seems worth it all. I would like to see a few photos without the "Bugatti blue" lighting eheh It does work for a few of them. Great job!
  6. All's well that ends well .. and you sure entertained us letting us in on your build. Sometimes "perfect" builds get a bit boring.
  7. Looking good .. that color IS nice on a Karmann
  8. Welcome from an Honorary Hoosier ... I went to school in Angola ... upper corner on Ohio border. ))
  9. This is a great loss to the modeling community, but a great business opportunity for someone that could keep the quality up. Someone please buy this and fund Don and Carol's retirement!
  10. Absolutely incredible! The unusual cab makes it unique and all those beautiful cars on it .. WoW!
  11. This is happening here in Massachusetts too!!! I guarantee I'll see some people out in tee shirts ..

  13. Nice, clean looking build!
  14. That's cool. The covered load is fantastic! I like seeing unusual car or truck models built ... this probably deserves to be in the truck section , OD paint or not.
  15. That sure is a nest of pipes there .. the large windows do seem to give a good view of engine without opening.
  16. These are truly works of art .. you belong in that Guild.
  17. That is looking to be a looker!
  18. Very interesting link to Heller history. Interesting that he designed and "measured" many just from photos. Don't let our rivet counters see this!
  19. Looks like a trumpet concert to me.
  20. OK ... my first job out of college as a structural engineer was to design the building and machine foundations for a new paper mill for Crane and Company to make all the paper for US Currency. After it was complete it was almost eerie going in there .. the whole place had a green glow to it. Sorry, no photos.
  21. Welcome and glad you're enjoying your stay.
  22. The interior looks fantastic .. your detailing brings out all that molded in detail! Paint .. YES! ))
  23. I'd just check with the airports and air carrier you go through about the things everyone mentioned.
  24. Yeah .. same here in the Berkshires. There's been a lot of cold and snow this year, but I haven't minded it like in the past 10 years. I believe it's because this has been a "real" winter .. like I remember from the '50 and '60's! It snowed the second tim ein December and the snow has not left the ground. The temps have stayed low .. we're all used to them now. and it hasn't rained since November!!! A REAL winter! oh ya .. the topic .. I paint year round in the basement ...
  25. Welcome back to building and to the forum. If it's eastern NY you're in, the largest model car show in the country is just a couple months away and worth a short drive to Wayne, NJ .. NNL East
