  1. I been to a few races and practices when I was in school in Indiana back a few 30 years ago, but now it's pretty much a disappointment. Racing should evolve, not change the whole game.
  2. I've done it with black BMF. If didn't stick as well as the chrome but has been on that one for many years without loosening.
  3. It looks like the Lincoln Dairy truck that left those glass bottles with cream at the top in our milk box on the front step .. but that's just me many years ago. Great looking casting. be interesting to see no matter what it becomes.
  4. Seems to be looking cool, Roger, but we need larger images..
  5. The wheels are going to be what I had posted before from the Scorpian. They're not off road but are big and this is just a light scout car so hopefully won't look out of place. The rims look "mechanical" enough for this also .. a quick reminder... Hopefully can get more done .. while cutting the air scoop shorter my thumb intercepted the knife.. ehehe Of COURSE I know to never move the blade TOWARD the body!!
  6. Been following the build and the results are simply stunning!
  7. It doesn't look big, but this update feels GOOD to me! I've been stuck on a protective roof and finally something I like came to be. It'll be covered with some kind of mesh. The engine has been keeping me busy .. it's a real finicky build. Kept having to wait for glue to dry for stability before proceeding to next step. There was too much adjusting needed to use super-glue all the way. The gun mount is done and the steering shaft fitted as can be seen in photos. Still in mockup mode, but the roof IS glued down! It does look like the air scoop will need shortening to clear the roof ... just how this would have evolved out of the scrap pile.
  8. Here's a few pics of a VW bus I converted to a Kombi .. just for some ideas. I just used sheet plastic and body putty.
  9. Now that you mention it, Christian, I've always wondered .. is a quid the same as a pound?
  10. The imagination in here is THROUGH THE ROOF!!!!
  11. I assume you've never seen Gregg.
  12. That was a lot of work lowering it, but it looks very good!
  13. That's spectacular! Everything is so clean and sharp.
  14. It should be K&S and I have bought their tube bender. They do help bend the tube (rod), but I could never get the spring bender back off. I couldn't recommend it. Here's a link so you can see it. I does say brass, aluminum and copper, so maybe they come off easier with metal than with plastic.
  15. I've been using gmail for years and use goggle regularly. I don't recall running into your problem at all. Wish I could help more, but "elimination" is the road to discovery.
  16. Very nice! I couldn't imagine ever BMFing that TWICE!
  17. I did just post this in another thread, but it just belongs here. Very interesting photos everyone!
  18. Nice job on the photos.
  19. here's the link for those that just want to click and save .. English version also. Not the Audi.tv link.
  20. That is one good looking grill!
  21. That is so low and the color of water ... maybe RED paint would let it last longer before getting sliced in half by a power boat!
  22. Kit instructions would be nice to see if there is no lawyer concern. The instructions tell more that can ever be gleaned from a review in words. In combo, words and instruction sheet. we'd actually KNOW what we were buying in that sealed package!
