  1. The weathering does look good. You got a good fade and all seems natural!
  2. Imagine all the time he spent on that and didn't even round the edges!
  3. well, I know I tried a 1:1 Prowler wheel on my HO Prowler and it wouldn't fit.
  4. You really know how to make people wet your thread ...
  5. Good looking build there. but please don't tease us! Tell us more!!
  6. This was very educational and a great job on the tutorial. It was all as clear as a masked edge. Thanks.
  7. I like the grill. Of course, you could listen to all the imitators and use the same grill everyone in the past has used ... but I say follow your dreams and do it your way. Buicks need massive grills.
  8. The paint has an iridescent look to it in the last photos... that's gonna be a knockout when all said and done!
  9. ALL cars are meant to be customized! Long live 4 cylinders. Very good looker there.
  10. You are defiantly approaching this from the left side, Terry, but it's going to much more interesting from here! The glass being so undersized surprises me but if the brownish color is all the way through the glass would need to be acetate anyway. Watching this will be what you call entertainment!
  11. Oh YAH! (1/8 scale type) Love this.. especially the slant 6 in big scale!
  12. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ .... sleeper with capital Z's! Welcome to MCM. My eyes keep getting attracted to that driver door dent that just looks SO right. Wonderful looking build!
  13. This came out looking fantastic, especially considering your explanation adapting a different donor kit for accuracy!
  14. The interior panels are gorgeous! .. actually, all of it is!
  15. Those hinges look really good ... how-to-away!
  16. It might be the small low profile tires giving that forward effect. The front bumper may give a different take on it.
  17. I've always used Krylon acrylic clear, but also had a small can of Testor's spray for decals and that worked well also. It's my understanding that it's important to use acrylic clear but the reasons escape me at the moment.
  18. I have a caliper for all the measurements I use. About $30 and well worth it, especially with digital readout. But, if you have a metric scale you can use that. Dimensions in mm are very close to inches in 1/25. For your 3" lowering, it's 3mm on a metric ruler.
  19. I was just going to thank Art for that ... but it's more pleasure to WELCOME you back Ed! Hope you're feeling better and .. thanks for that Plymouth photo! I searched info on Product Miniatures and see they made one of the 51 Plymouth Cranbrook .. the car I had. It would be a nice start even if it's not so well done and it a bit large. I'm way too religious about 1/25.
  20. yes ,, Jon's been in the Springfield I know.
  21. Speaking of Curt ..... I see SA has honored him with his Li'l Red Corvette in their NNL West coverage. Nicely done.
  22. Hopefully we'll meet up at any case. Too bad I don't wear hats so I'll be noticeable. My wife is coming, thou she'll be off looking at her own pace I expect. The 1:1 van's tires are 8.00-16.5 LT so your rims are correct. The fronts had wheel covers so I don't have any photos of the hubs. I did have this drawing from the GMC parts site showing wheelcovers for the 85 GMC van and a set of 65 GMC front covers for a 5-bolt wheel.
  23. It's looking fantastic, Ryan! I have some tires from Ma's Resin that have a 17" ID so I'm probably going to have to finesse something to make them look right. I expect yours are smaller.. and correct!. I'll have to check those Satco's and see how they size up for the van. The tires on the van are large, but the rims are still the 16.5. Those are just plain beautiful. I'm hoping you'll get time to cast a set before MassCar and I'll find your booth. No pressure ... ... I'll find you no matter what.
  24. I've seen that bulkhead then, in the older 550's I believe. It's not in some of the newer ones, probably lost it when they went to the space frame. this is a 1/43 model and a good shot to get the shape: I never have to log in here. Either it keeps me logged in or Firefox is doing it for me. Maybe that would circumnavigate the problem.
