  1. Not much to see in the engine bay.
  2. Sorry purists, but since it really is a 'Vette, I decided to give it a more muscular look with wheels from the Stars & Stripes Greenwood race 'Vette. Certainly no Fujimi kit, this still builds up into a fairly decent replica.....of a replica I've always liked this body style in yellow, so I went with Tamiya Chrome Yellow with a tan interior. Just a quick, fun build of a neat car. Thanks for looking. You gotta love an exhaust that hangs only two inches from the pavement
  3. Mike, that looks killer! That is one wild paint scheme on there. After getting hooked on the Tamiya car kits, I picked up an old bike kit that my local Hobbytown had on sale for eight bucks. I couldn't resist it at that price, and it's a Ducati, the Mike Hailwood Replica 900. For a 25 year old kit, it too has great detail! I might have to get a more current one, though
  4. I definitely have to second that, this Chris Coller guy does phenominal builds, and his awards were well deserved. Oh yeah, a fellow club member and a fan of his work!
  5. This may be your first w.i.p. here, but that work looks like a pro did it! Fantastic job on the build so far. Like I said Kurt, I can't take credit for the embossing powder method, I just tried it and passed it on. It looks like you got it down perfect. Can't wait to see it done!
  6. I wanted to do this in a '70s street machine style, with a close to factory color like the mint green Chevy had. I used Dupli-Color Hampstead Green Metallic for the paint, Cragars and tires from the Revell '37 Ford kit, engine wiring and hoses, solder exhaust from the muffler back, with aluminum tube tips, '60s style tach on the column, and R&M Co of Md resin valve stems. Thanks for looking!
  7. This kind of thing not only occurs with plastic model kit tires, but also on some 1/43 scale white metal model tires. I have some Lansdowne models that I keep in a small flip-up display case (I believe made by Johnny Lightning), and the tires melted down into the plastic where they actually made little ruts! The model actually sticks a little when you pull it up, but the tires are fine with no damage, just the plastic. I also have a few K&R Replica white metal kits in the same case, and the tires on them make no marks at all. The base is black plastic, but I'm not sure if clear is more prone to this type of damage.
  8. Jay, that song is called 'Hopped-Up-Mustang' by Arlen Sanders. http://muzetunes.com/playback.asx?f=B&...2DmqYZnI798Vbo=
  9. Very nice Corvette there, Marcos! Looks like Ismael will have an heir to his model building legacy. Keep up the great work!
  10. No.......Yes!
  11. The easiest way is to use a photo-hosting site. I have used Photobucket with flawless results, it's simple to use, and free. This topic has come up quite often, and there are some threads here detailing how, step by step. Hope this helps.
  12. Hey Cruz, this build is really getting super-detailed, and showcasing how far your level of expertise has come. So, you'll have it done by Saturday? Hey, just bust some critical bones, and you'll have plenty of bench time! That shifter's cool, and it may be the very rare 'blue knob' shift handle option, so you might want to leave it in that color See ya.

Jonathan, I'm still looking to find some rat rod part on this...... wait, is that a skull shift knob laying on the back seat?! Looks great to me, and way different than I did mine ('70s jacked-up street machine). It looks cool down in the weeds. As far as boogers, every one of mine has them, but it's all in how you hide them! See ya at the club meeting.
  14. Dan, that gave me a chuckle, too. Different and cool! Pots and pans hanging inside would be a nice touch
  15. Bob, that's killer! That front end looks much more meaner than stock. Great transition to the body, front and rear. Not a fan of black wheels, but they really help with the nasty look. I love wagons, and this one's too cool!
  16. Chumley, the Pug. Rosie, the Jack Russel. Chumley is always helping me, Rosie only when she feels like it. Great dogs both, but if I run low on adhesive, Pug snot would work great! Ok Raul, where's your Pug's mug?

Now there's an original tuner way before they were called that (pocket rocket days). Neat little hot rod, James. It looks mean with those wheels. I worked with a guy who got one back when they came out ('84?) and he raced it showroom stock with good results. They are small in size, but quick!
  18. I didn't have too much to put in the WIP section for this since it's a curbside, so here she is. The paint is Dupli-Color Orange Mist, with Rustoleum Decorator series Wheat interior. I had a '76 280-Z that was close to this color combo and like them together. The wheels and tires are an aftermarket set, that are pretty close to the original diameter. I also wanted to keep it close to the stock height, not get too big with wheels, just a nice, clean 5-spoke. Besides removing the head rests, the only other items I added were aluminum exhaust tips, embossing powder carpet, and R&MCo of Md pe badges. I also left off the back-up light and license light, and added a CHMSL. Thanks for looking!
  19. Excellent photos Chris! That Dino really looks more sports car-like in chrome wire wheels. My favorite later model Ferraris are still those clean and curvy Modenas!
  20. I don't care if it's real or model, but someone has to do those fender skirts in resin!
  21. Welcome Dan, you'll find this a nice haven also. Your convertible conversion is one smooth beauty. All the mods look great, and the front end work makes it look really mean, like it's got pincers! I have a Nomad conversion of this kit to do sometime. Very cool build.
  22. Ah, Rob, now I see how it should be done! That Dino is spectacular, and I am not worthy No, I snagged this off evilbay awhile back, pretty reasonable, and I just want a nice curbside shelf model of it, with a few of my changes. Thanks for the feedback guys!
  23. Mike, I thought all three versions were curbside. Well, that explains why the trunk, hood & engine cover all are separate panels, which I glued shut on mine since there isn't anything there. I thought I saw somewhere that this kit is being re-issued. Even curbside though, it's a neat kit.
