  1. Yeah- looks like there's a second, smaller body inside it...
  2. Love it, though I always wondered why AMT supplied it with the dogdish caps. They kind of look out of place on a zooty car like a Starliner. Anyway, great job on this one, and love the color! And I'd have never noticed the foil issue if Harry hadn't noticed it.
  3. Now, about 'quoting' photos...
  4. Oh, great... "Ke$ha Syndrome" is spreading... FULL QUARANTINE!!!!
  5. Well... if I'd paid for that body, and not recieved it, I'd be pretty steamed. If it arrived and it looked like that... KILL KILL KILL KILL!!!!
  6. But this isn't the 'home market'... is it???? Dodge Intrepids were sold as Chryslers in Canada, and some Chevys were rebadged Pontiacs. Whatever it says on the title... As far as the accelerator thing, I just chalk that up to the stupidity of the average motorist. I mean, have you interacted with THOSE people???? Well, they did a bang-up job on faking the moon landing, according to my scary neighbor Fred. And who is this Kyle Bush guy? Is he related to George?
  7. We all need a little 'tough love' every so often. Well stated, Rob.
  8. Especially the rare, DOHC Hemi...
  9. As far as the engine, look into the stuff from Replicas and Miniatures Company of Maryland. Norm sells a vast line of hop up parts for the flathead, and since he patterned them after the engine in the Monogram/Revell '50 Ford kit, they fit like a glove. He sells some other parts for the truck, too, and truck parts in general. Somebody sells a chopped cab for this kit, too, not sure if it's Norm or not.
  10. I had a delay with an order from Jeff a while back, and he took care of it in a similar manner. I got a little insight into his situation at the time, and now my only regret is I don't buy more stuff from him! (Wait your turn, I'll be placing an order shortly... ) I've had great experiences with Jeff Ballard of Motor City Resin Casters, Kenny Shores of Bandit Resins, Al Raab of Ma's Resins, and Jimmy Flintstone, as well as Steve Kohler of STAR Models, who sells R&R, Hendrix, and Flintstone products. Again... my only regrets dealing with these guys is I don't order enough from them.
  11. Though calling a Lexus a Toyota is akin to calling a Chrysler a Plymouth... Besides, it's not like he was in a Prius!
  12. At least in my neck of the woods, they can't move the things without heaping huge rebates on them- even then they're a bit on the steep side. I've said it before, I'll say it again... I don't care how many doors it has. I don't like the new Charger because it looks like a flattened Dakota Quad Cab. I'd rather have the FWD Charger than one of the new Chargers. Sheez... I think an Omni GLH is a sexier looking car than the new Charger...
  13. I've thought about cutting the cowl flush with those two slots the interior tub snaps into, then butting the firewall up against that. Going to have to give that a test run- I KNOW I've got some trashed F-150 parts around here...
  14. I've been thinking of building a 1:25 plow for a couple of years... maybe now's the time to pull the trigger.
  15. Beyond cool! Makes me want to finally wrap up that Dodge motorhome I've had on the back burner.
  16. http://www.caranddriver.com/news/car/10q1/2012_ford_police_interceptor-car_news I hope they let John Phillips do the review when it comes out...
  17. Nope- the one in question is staying the way it is! It's a pretty good representation of how I built models six or seven years back. The next one I'll put a little more effort into!
  18. Yeah- to me, it COULD have been a nice car, but isn't. It's a proportion thing for me- it just looks 'squatty', like it's too wide for its length or too short for its width. I do like the roof, though, but the new Camaros are a real pain to see out of.
  19. Some pics of mine- it was 'desprued' a bit when I got it, but I think all the parts are there. Not sure exactly how it differs from the Round 2 reissue-
  20. I only have the RC2-era reissue, but it's a pretty good kit, about on par with the '60 Starliner. It even has a separate plated windshield frame... take THAT, Revell '72 Cutlass!
  21. I think Jerry would dig this one. I know I do!
  22. Yep- those five spokes with wide whites do it for me!
