  1. I continue to have problems replying to posts from my iPad and Safari with the latest, up-to-date versions. My ability to use my old iMac on this forum (though I have no problem on any other site) is long gone. Unless I quote a post to reply, the reply box sends me spinning off to other sites like Reddit, Error 404, Jeep USA, googleadservices, etc. This post is an anomaly, though I had to click on the reply box a few times to make it work. My initial thought is that this site is not Mac friendly.
  2. I just see a file name that says blown_3.jpg
  3. The brightest silver I've seen is fine-point Prismacolor Premier, PM 118, metallic silver . Got it at Hobby Lobby.
  4. Somehow I got back here after the reply box once again kicked me over to another site -- this time, to jeepusa. I don't know if this commonly reported problem is the responsibility of Invision or the failure of forum management to deal with it Anyway, eons ago in 1965, My parents lived in Hong Kong and I spent a few months there. I found RHD with manual column shifting very easy to use (essential in the mountainous terrain along with a really good parking brake lever at a 35 degree uphill stoplight) and in fact I had to get used to LHD all over again when I returned to the States.
  5. The latest time stamps on his Photobucket account also end in 2008.
  6. You're doing all this mind-boggling detail that can't be seen and still wondering about doing engine-turned finishes?
  7. A poster girl of my youth, Yvonne Craig, has passed away at 78. I can't imagine that time span since her days as the TV Batgirl. She also was featured in the hottest episode of Star Trek that I remember, where she was an all-green alien who performed a dance wearing fewer pieces of coverage than you'd ever see in those days. True story: When the film was sent to the processing lab, they didn't realize she was SUPPOSED to be green, and kept sending back dailies with her skin tones corrected to normal flesh color. If you search Google images for Yvonne Craig Star Trek, you'll see what I'm talking about.
  8. Been there, done that, scary.

    Royal Bug

Absolutely outstanding. Slick build of a tricky kit.
  10. Many thanks to Mike Kucaba for sending me instructions to this kit.
  11. Go to the under Glass Section, where I just bumped up the finished thread from Feb 20 2008.
  12. Truly outstanding. I'm bumping this up because the On the Workbench thread has recently been revived.
  13. I've read about a Jaguar club in Northern California called "Sons of Lucas," for obvious reasons.
  14. After 7 years, it should be pretty far along.
  15. If you've seen what else Matt has done, it's unimaginable what's on his shelf.
  16. Very, very slick, Matt.
  17. Okay, more parts = more agony. You've left off brake kit internal parts in the past. Will you do all the internal parts on this one?
  18. Killer. What kit and scale? (Sorry for quoting here, but sometimes that's the only way I can reply on this forum without getting shunted to another site. This time I got sent to Reddit).
  19. I like that approach a lot -- really evokes period design. Also reminds me of some Auburns and a Duesenberg SJ like the Weymann boat tail. I think it would be more graceful, though, if the sweep curved under more at the bottom, like the Bugatti.
  20. I'm using Safari. How about you?
  21. I'd go for one with a story of interest to me, like a car driven by a world champion like Clark, Schumacher, Senna, etc.
  22. Terrific -- very realistic.
  23. Cool. Looks like Harry fixed it!
  24. okay, I'll quote myself.
