  1. My good friend peter31a, was kind enough to drive both of us to the Motor City NNL this past weekend. I have lost count, but believe that this is our fifth year attending. This show just keeps getting better and better. There are great models on the tables, and the vendor space is beyond belief. I took a few pictures, but was not attempting to photograph everything. I just took pictures of models that grabbed my attention. Here are a few shots and a link to my Fotki album. https://public.fotki.com/Bill-Eh/motor-city-nnl-15/
  2. My good friend, peter31a, and I also attended the Motor City NNL this past weekend. On the way we stopped at the HL at the Schoenherr Rd location and at Great Lakes Hobbies. There is nothing like shopping before going to an event with even more shopping. Kit prices in Toronto usually start in the low $40 dollar range and go way up from there. Going to the NNL is like being a kid in a candy shop! The vendor space was expanded this year. The number of vendor aisles was unbelievable. Yes, I did pick up some kits and supplies. I took a few picture and have posted a link in the Contest section. My apologies for the fuzzy pictures.
  3. Leslie, when you go shopping, you go SHOPPING! LOL Many nice score there.
  4. It looks nice and cleanly built. The decal yellowing is not really that noticable. Good job. I have an old Tamiya KTM kit that I need to get around to.
  5. Thanks for posting. It looks great.
  6. You picked up the Alfa with the nicest of the available liveries for that kit. I really like Martini cars! Have fun with your build.
  7. Congratulations James. Curious, what model won you the 2nd in closed-wheel?
  8. If you are into Thunderbolts, this web page may be of interest: http://www.angelfire.com/hi/427fairlane/index.html
  9. In one of GeeBee's (Geoff Brown) last posts in "What did you get today?", he shows two 250 ml bottles of Tamiya Lacquer Thinner, One has Retarder. This might be the equivalent of Mr Hobby self leveling thinner.
  10. Ray, I would suggest the very reliable Paasche H single action airbrush. They can usually be found at a very reasonable price. Who knows, you may just like it enough to keep on using it on other projects. ?
  11. No problems. The GREAT news is that TESTORS brand paints will still be available in both our countries.
  12. I stand corrected. I just read the respones that Jon Cole received from TESTORS.
  13. I think that I would disagree with you. Re-read the third paragraph.
  14. The 1/12th F-1 thing has seriously got a hold of you! LOL ?
  15. Bill, the 1/24 Tamiya Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA is a full detail kit w/engine. Here is a link to an in-box review. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD4J_g1_VlQ
  16. There is also a Monogram Turbo Esprit kit. I'm not sure if in fact it is different than the Sport 300 kit.
  17. I just reread your post Michael, and reread all of the prior posts. I apologize as I believe that I misinterpreted your comment. Are you saying that the low comments to views ratio can be partially attributed to lack of membership?
  18. I am a member of the forum, but have not commented thus far. Michael, as to your post from above, I now see this message before I log in: "Join the conversation You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account." I'm not sure if this might be a contributing factor in this situation. People may comment, because they can, and then not register as forum members.
  19. Bruce, there is a member of the F1M forum who makes different sizes and brands of 1/12 F1 tires. I believe his forum name is Icon Modeller.
  20. Bruce, those will all be nice additions. I believe I now have all of Tamiya's 1/12 F-1 kits. I am partial to the McLaren M23, as that was one of the cars that I saw in my first attended GP event! Show Berger some love! LOL ?
  21. Bruce, nice kit acquisition. One of Tamiya's nicely detaiied !/12 F-1 kits. So, Senna or Berger, when you get to this one?
  22. Nice score on the three Rosso kits. As you said, the detail is quite impressive. I remember that the A pillars on the NSX were quite fragile when I built it. They included a metal weight insert to give it some heft!
  23. Moderators, i"m thinking that it might be time to bring this thread to a close. An individual appears to have the need to get the last word in. All it appears to do, is exacerbate the situation. All at the cost of an individual who innocently posted a wonderful new creation.
  24. Then 1/12 is probably way out of the question!
