  1. Yes, it was. The Revell kit is a repop of the Protar 1/12 scale Ferrari 312T. A better choice would be the Tamiya kit which can be found easily on eBay.
  2. I don't really think that Tamiya missed the mark. They are pretty thorough in the research and description of their models. Tamiya never did in fact, a model of the Toyota 88C, only two versions of the 88C-V (Minolta and Taka-Q). The description does not say that it raced at LeMans. The 88C-V was a development of the 88C and was raced in the all Japan Series in preparation for competing in upcoming LeMans. You are correct in that the further developed 89C-V did not race at LeMans. It was not until the the 1990 LeMans that the the Toyota 90C-V competed, where the number 36 finished 6th in class and overall.
  3. Could this be the thread?
  4. Nicely finished. That's the first time I've seen the turbo version of this kit. I always thought that it was an interesting car in a quirky kind of way.
  5. Sorry about my hasty response Steve. James, you're right. I must have had my brain only half engaged when I replied. James, thanks for providing the correct information.
  6. 1989-2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R
  7. That's a lot of real estate to display cars in. Congratulations on the acquisition. Hopefully the exterior "wrap" is removable! LOL
  8. Craig, I agree with you about the constant price hikes that seem to regularly occur now. "...model companys will just move the tooling somewhere else...", this is the part that can become problematic in terms of how China views property rights. LOL
  9. Mike that is a massively awesome score you have made! That S600 Coupe gets harder and harder to find!
  10. Welcome aboard Art. You have come to the right place to do both of those things. A wonderful community of helpful modelers can be found here!
  11. Chris, the same thing popped into my mind as well. Niki clearly represented one of the best in human kind. As others have indicated, rest in peace Niki Lauda.
  12. Greg, it is available right now. I picked one up at the NNL East, this past Saturday.
  13. My thoughts exactly!
  14. I'm glad that I could help. The transformation that takes place from roughed in putty work to finished model is amazing. He must buy that epoxy putty by full shipping carton lots!
  15. Tom, I found a reply he made on his Tamiya Fairlady build video: Жека Ромашку 3 months ago Tell me what putty you work? Yukiya's Scale Modelling Workshop 3 months ago I am using the epoxy putty of Tamiya.
  16. Even though I live in Toronto, driving is not the best way for me to get to the Grand Prix. Public transit is. Have a great day of live cars-on-track. Breathe in the sights, sounds and smells!
  17. Any day watching Indy cars live is a good day. And any day that you might find a Tamiya kit at a bargain price makes it an exceptional day! LOL
  18. Joe, I could not get your link to work. Maybe this one? https://www.smooth-on.com/products/xtc-3d/
  19. I just came across a video from Andy's Hobby Headquarters, which gives a showing of what's in the box for Tamiya's Toyota TS050.
  20. 2nd last generation of good looking Supra's to me. You did a great job of rendering the full size in a model. Full engine detail was a bonus bonus, and looks authentic.
  21. Everything about this model just stands out! Paint work, engine detail, interior are all top-shelf! This T-Bird was a fine example of what a great aero car should look like!
  22. What an amazing paint job. I'm especially impressed with the panel line work and the painting of the trim...really clean.
  23. Both of these Lancia models are great representations of their 1:1 counterparts. There is just something about the Stratos' appearance that says power and aggression.
  24. That's a great choice for an engine. The subtle, non-miles-deep paint job adds to the sleeper effect for this Kharmann Ghia. A model to be proud of!
