  1. Good looking woody! I like the color and the wood work. Good work! Sam
  2. It does sit a little high, I think, but otherwise it's a great looking model! The color seems right for the time Good work! Sam
  3. Nice looking T truck. I like model T's too. I have several stock builds and variations. I just finished this wagon yesterday. Scratch built body with the stock pickup bed.
  4. Wow! Great build! That boom is a work of art! Very good work! Sam
  5. Man, that's nice! Great finish, and the seats look very real. Very nice work! Sam
  6. Very nice Dodge! The colors look good, and the cow theme interior is just cool! Good work! Sam
  7. Beautifully built model from a less than perfect kit. It looks great in those colors, and it's just a very clean build! Nice work! Sam
  8. Very nice! I like the white with red color choice. I would have added foil on the window frames, but this is still a great build! Sam
  9. I remember bubble gum cigars in colors like pink and yellow. You pretended you were smoking them for a while, then chewed the gum! Sam
  10. Here's my 66 coupe with a resin 6-banger engine. In a 60's scene on my diner diorama. Sam
  11. Joe, Bill Gaines was actually a distant cousin of mine. I remember him handing out copies of Mad magazine at a family reunion when I was a kid in the 1950's (I think), when the magazine first came out. I think most of the family thought the magazine was stupid, but I liked it! I had a subscription when I was in high school. Sam

    59 Impala

Pretty nice! I like the frame and independent suspension mods, and the interior is well done! Good work! Sam
  13. Scott, I think the bullets were a gray color. Maybe they made them red later to make them easier to find after they bounced off of lamps! Sam
  14. Ditto! Great work! I like the hardtop conversion. Sam
  15. Beautiful model! Great work on the finish and detailing! Looks mean in orange! Sam
  16. That's about the nicest Gremlin I've ever seen! Great work! Sam
  17. This is a cool thread - brings back tons of memories. I had metal trucks (Tonka, Ny-Lint?) and diecast tractors. I had, and still have several block sets (Curtain Wall, Skyline, Block City, Girder & Panel, and the Bridge & Turnpike set that went with it) Erector set, too. I had lots of cap guns, including a Mattel Shootin' Shell rifle that shot plastic bullets. Try marketing that today! I had a Lionel HO train set - the only year they made HO trains in 1957(?). Still have the locomotive and a couple cars, one with two rockets on it as cargo, and the loco was driven by rubber bands! I had one of the first Aurora Model Motoring HO scale slot car set, with the vibrator motors in the cars. Anyone remember those? I discovered model cars when AMT brought out the first customizing kits in 1958. My first one was a 58 Imperial. I was immediately hooked on model cars and built about 250 of them through my teens. Good times! Sam
  18. Very well done model! Those snappers make nice models with a little work. Sam
  19. Great customizing work on the Lincoln! The trunk looks good with a smooth curve, and I like how you made the trailer from the old trunk! Very creative work here! Sam
  20. Really nice '55! Great colors, and well done! It looks real in that diorama! Sam
  21. Very nice Mustang! Great color, and the interior is perfect - looks totally real! Great work! Sam
  22. Here are some of mine from the 1960's when I was a teenager. I had a ford Galaxie from each year from 1959 to 1970. The VW bus was a takeoff of the Little Red wagon with a mid-mounted hemi. I hand painted the poison ivy on it - took forever! The model T has a twin blower hemi from a 53 Stude, I think. The milk truck was scratch built from parts box stuff and sheet styrene. I kept them in a china cabinet at my mom's house till 2005, so my sons didn't get at them.
  23. I like Harry's interior idea. The turquoise and white exterior looks great! Sam
  24. Great work on the conversion! You don't see many models of this vintage Mustangs. Sam
