    Grease !

Great, now I've got the song stuck in my head... Nice work on both of them. The foil-bolts look really good, but like they would have been a pain!

    Bat Pod

Nice build. As a big fan of the new Batman movies I'm intrigued by this and the forth-coming Tumbler. Other than small parts, did this go together pretty easy? Were there any major issues you had?
  3. Well, well, well...here we are again! After finishing the Lightning, I decided to pull this bad boy out and see if I can resurrect it from the dead. Since we last left off I removed the front fender flares completely and now I'm attempting to remake them. The good news: if this works I'll be well on my way to seeing it done. The bad news: if it doesn't work or doesn't look good, I'm going to need another Magnum and Challanger body to start over with . So, wish me luck with this! Here's some pictures of where I left it this morning after gluing in the start of the new flares. They will be trimmed back and I'm going to do my best to get them to look like the rears. I see a lot more filling and sanding in my future. Here goes! I used thin "for sale" sign plastic for the flaring. I snapped these quickly with my cell phone, so sorry for some blurriness.
  4. That's stunning!
  5. Thanks for the kind words you guys! I appreciate them. Thanks. I'm not really a huge fan of this truck in general but it was fun to do something I normally wouldn't have otherwise.
  6. Interior is looking great. Way to really run with a theme.
  7. Blue paint looks great Doc! You've got another great one going here.
  8. Wow, well nice job on the scratch building of it, in such small scale. It looks really good!
  9. Yeah, I'll agree with everything said so far. Awesome truck. I lobe all the parts in the back!
  10. Wow, looks great! Sweet paint.
  11. I finally got one wrapped up. It's been a while since I actually finished something. I got this truck for my birthday last summer from my girlfriends parents who picked it up on a whim. I wouldn't have built this kit otherwise, but it was a fun build. I kept it pretty basic, just swapped the rims and added the hood scoop from the parts box and added the silver mesh up front which I think looks better than the molded in plastic grill. There's a lot of fit issues with a lot of the parts on this kit. As this is just something to go on the shelf I didn't worry myself too much with getting every little thing to fit perfectly. Paint is Testors One Coat Inca Gold. I was really unsure on what color I was going to use as the "stock" colors of black, white or red didn't appeal to me. Then, last weekend as I was looking over my paints, I saw the can of Inca Gold that I grabbed at some point, thinking I'd use it on something and I think it makes this one really look like a lightning bolt! Enough rambling, I'll let the pictures do the talking. Thanks for looking!
  12. Where'd you get the drum set, and what scale is it, approximitly? As a drummer, I'd love to have a set to put in the back of a model truck! Nice start of the building too, btw!
  13. +1 more on the shifter. Over all a very cool little rod. I love it.
  14. Cool project. It's nice to have a 1:1 so readily available for reference . I'm no help on the engine but you might want to look at some Lego kits for tires of the right size.
  15. What a neat project. It's looking real good now! I like the big front tires.
  16. Dang that's nice. Great job!
  17. What a weird little vehical. I've never seen this before. Cool to see something so different!
  18. That was my thought too. I'd love to do a spoon test and see so I might still grab them when I've got a coupon and nothing else to buy!
  19. Do you guys think these pearl powders could be mixed into Future and then brushed on? I've seen them at Michaels, and with a 40-50% off coupon would only be $13 and I've been thinking about picking some up. The downside is I don't have an airbrush so I don't know how else I'd use them. Just wondering what you think or if anyone has tried it. Thanks.
  20. Both of these turned out great. I think I'm going to have to pick up one of these kits eventually. I've always liked the Cobras. I like seeing them in some atypical colors too.
  21. Wow, nice job. The paint scheme really works. Nice choice on colors.
  22. It's not too bad if you're looking to stock up, @ $1 per jar, but the big problem is that there's really only a few colors there. I counted roughly 22 of just the green...that's a little overkill if you ask me.
  23. This just keeps shaping up better and better. I really like the front end treatment so far, especially the smoothed sides. I like the scoop too. I just pulled that one out of my parts box as well and used it on a build I'm wrapping up. Nice choice.
