  1. Nice to see this one back. With all the hard work you've put in it would be a shame to see it go unfinished. Keep up the good work! Oh, the BMF looks great.
  2. If this stays open ended, I might jump in. I picked up a 39 Chevy at a flea market this weekend and I'm thinking of putting the I-6 Stovebolt under the hood. Still not positive, but I figured it would be different.
  3. I can't get enough of these bubble tops. Very nice. Love that 409!
  4. I'd test some cbromed sprue before trying real parts, but curious to see how it works.
  5. Looking really nice so far. I like those wheels too.

    56 Ford

Nice color combo. It looks great on this car.
  7. Skip, As long as you haven't completely deleted Firefox, there should be a bookmarks folder somewhere with all of them intact, or at least with the web addresses. I'm not sure where to find the folder on a Mac, but looking in the Firefox sub-folders should be a start.
  8. Thanks. I expected so, but it looks way better with the stripes (IMHO), nice choice using them. Love this car.

    69 DREAMIN

Really, really nice. What did you use to route the plug wires through? It's a cool touch.
  10. The Hog-vette is awesome. I was looking forward to seeing the finished pics and you didn't disappoint. The hog driver head really seals the deal.
  11. Nice progress, this should be pretty cool when done. I like the idea of quad bucket seats rather that the rear bench. You might have to forgive me, I might use that idea in my Challengum build. Going to have to think about it...
  12. Wow, what a hot car! Nice shade of red. Do you have any pictures before you did the decaling? I'd be curious what it looks like in all one color.
  13. That's good info to know. I'll let the paint sit for a while before using it to avoid any mess!
  14. Yes http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59425
  15. Got some fun stuff yesterday. My girlfriend decided to get me an early birthday present so now I've got an airbrush and compressor to play around with. I picked up the pearl powders from Michaels for 50% off and got a little shippment of distributors and resin from Kris Morgan at M.A.D. Pretty excited to get the AB fired up and test it out. I've ordered Donn Yost's video on AB techniques as well so I hope to see lots of shine in my future.
  16. I've had good results using Purple Power. One thing I've noticed is that its best to have some of the underlying primer showing so the solution can attack that. So some light sanding in a few spots, down to primer, is a good idea. Then the paint comes off in sheets.
  17. That looks easy enough, and I should have all the tools to do it. Thanks for the link!
  18. How do you guys decant spray paint for airbrushing in a clean manner? I've got an airbrush on the way, but want to use some colors I have in spray form but I'm not sure the best way to approach this. Thanks for any tips!
  19. I like the idea of one competition category. That being said, a lot of peoples issues would be resolved if people would use clear, precise and informative topic titles when they start their posts. It would even make the search function more...well, functional. Just my $0.02.
  20. Sweet looking ride so far! Nice cut and combo!
  21. Nice concept for this one, and great start so far. I'll keep an eye on this!
  22. You've done some cool stuff to this one. The filled head lights and the relocation to the grill area is something I don't think I've seen done on a Merc, and I have to say I kind of like it! I'm really digging the flames on the fender skirts too. Nice touch!
  23. That red one is the business. This car looks great laid out low like that!
