Excellent work on this! All the little details come together so nicely. David G.

The engine, interior and chassis all look great! I like the idea you came up with for attaching the brake and fuel lines to the chassis. I plan on using that some day. Thanks for sharing it with us. David G.

Stock engine for the S&H Torino
David G. replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I built the S&H Torino last year. I thought it had a decent engine. There was no alternator bracket, but other than that, it's not too bad. Regards, David G. -
Hello Everybody! I'm in the final stages of completing this one, I plan to wrap it up sometime in the couple of days. I decided on Tamiya TS-53 Metallic Blue as the topcoat color. I think these bits will look great once the model is reassembled. I also have the joining pieces in their chosen color, Tamiya TS-42 Light Gunmetal. I plan to use some Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color to add some depth to them. That's all for now. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to post a comment. David G.

That's a rather interesting combination you're trying to bash together. There's some real potential to come up with a good looking model in the end. David G.

Cool! I usually mask my engines using Silly Putty when needed. David G. -
I've always wanted to try my hand at a kit like this. It looks like there is a significant investment, not only in the kit itself and the time to complete it but also ancillary tools & materials as well as prep. Given all that, I'm most likely better to follow along with your build. At least for now. David G.

For the weathering on this, you've hit the perfect point between "not enough" and "too much". It all comes together in a very convincing and realistic whole that makes it difficult to distinguish the model from the real thing. Awesome work! David G.

Nailed it on both accounts! It's also interesting how the location, size and prominence of the sponsorship decals changed over that twenty years. In the early version, the car's name is the most prominent feature. In the latter version, the sponsor is most prominent with the car's name almost as an afterthought. Spectacular representation of some auto racing history! David G.

Wow! That's a lot of art on such a small canvass! You've really captured the feel of it so far, nice work. David G.
