What an unusual and cute little car, it looks like a Ghia design. The build looks great, good idea cutting the side windows down. Nicely done! David G.

Hello Everybody! I knot it's been a little while since the last update so here's another. More white paint, this time for the trunk lid and vent boxes. And another panel line treatment. The side-view mirrors are meant to just be glued to the doors. For a number of reasons, I decided to pin them in place with some 26ga wire. While test fitting the mirrors I discovered that when positioned properly on the doors they stick out at a weird angle. They should be quite a bit more horizontal than they are. At first I thought I would need to heat and bend the mirrors into the proper angle. Not a very pleasant nor easy task. After seeing them in place however, I decided that shimming them with styrene wedges would be a much easier way to do it. Shimming would also eliminate any chance of causing heat damage to the mirrors. Here are the tiny wedges I made to correct the mirror positions. The wedges will tilt them outward so they are more horizontal. That's all I have for now. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.

I remember seeing your WIP on this one Bruce, I'm glad to see it completed. The silver paint looks spectacular! It makes the car look like a trophy. The interior colors are a perfect compliment to the body. David G.

A great idea well executed! It's a bummer about the paint issues, I've had my troubles with Rustoleum too. They have so many great colors but unfortunately I feel like I'm taking a risk every time I use their product. Davind G. -
Well worth the wait and the effort! Everything about it looks great! Lucky find on the bumper, the license plate cut reinforces the lowered image of the whole car. David G.

Thank you for the compliment Charles. I think they're beautiful cars, kind of the last of the Art Deco style of the 20's and 30's. Your Plymouth must have looked cool with those driving lights, do you have any photos of it? Thanks again for your comment, it's fun to see these old threads pop to the surface again. David G.
