  1. Beautiful Work! I've done a few "Nostalgia Builds" myself. It sure is a great feeling to go back and complete and/or conquer those fondly remembered kits of our younger days, isn't it? David G.
  2. A clean, solid build. Great color combination. Nicely Done! David G.
  3. Thank you Patrick, I'm glad you like it. Thanks Rusty, I appreciate your comment. If you're referring to this Batmobile... I already have one in my stash... with a Green Strawberry PE kit. But before I get on to that one, I have a Batpod I want to knock together first. Sort of a companion to the Tumbler. Also, there is an available lighting kit for the DOJ Batmobile. Hhmmm... Thanks, David G.
  4. Looks great! You must be pleased to have this one so near completion. David G.
  5. The level of detail you put in on this one and your engineering of the opening panels mind-blowing. David G.
  6. Spectacular work, as always! I truly enjoy watching your builds come together. David G.
  7. Just a couple of quick shots before I mount the airfoils. I did try to give the windows a gold tint with a quick spritz of acrylic gold paint. The paint did fog the windows just a bit but there wasn't going to be much of the interior visible through them anyway. I thought about installing some LED lighting for the interior but due to the construction style and my lack of skill assembling it, I didn't think I'd be able to close up all the light leaks anyway. And the foggy windows too... Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave a comment. David G.
  8. Nicely detailed, well done! David G.
  9. Nicely Done! David G.
  10. Good call on both of them. Rescue doesn't always mean revision. Nicely done! David G.
  11. Beautiful! That works on so many levels. David G.
  12. Nicely Done! Beautiful color combination. David G.
  13. Thanks Rusty. I agree. Even though many people may not consciously notice them, little details can add up to make a make a big difference in the appearance of a model. David G.
  14. Beautifully Done! David G.
  15. Gotta say, that is different. It looks like it should have sponsorship decals- and maybe a number along with a stripe or two. Thanks for the comment and the interesting take on the Tumbler. David G.
  16. Clean and solid, well done! David G.
  17. A detail painter's paradise! Well Done! David G.
  18. Great Movie! Excellent Replica! David G.
  19. Nicely Done! Excellent color choice, it just looks right. David G.
  20. The next update: OK, the side pieces are firmly and permanently affixed to the hull and I'm working on fitting the windshield panel in place. It looks like it will need some adjustment. I'm also trying out the new base for the photo diorama I'm working on. It's supposed to look like asphalt. It's a shame that all that work I put into the interior will never be seen again. The air boxes are installed after and are supposed to tuck under the pointy side piece with the shiny bit. No matter how I tried I couldn't get the boxes to slide up and under the side pieces, the just wouldn't go. I ended up grinding away just a pit of each side piece to allow for clearance. I don't know if I did something incorrectly or if it is a design flaw of the kit but it's in there now. That's it for now but I should be posting the final update soon. Thank you to those who are still following along. Please feel free to leave a comment. David G.

Thanks for posting the progress pics Glenn. Sometimes it's nice to "see under the hood" so to speak. David G.
  23. Beautiful work! It is a great kit, isn't it? Whether done with paint or decals, the complexity and precision of the orange stripe trim can be quite intimidating. Providing a pre-painted body allows many more builders the opportunity to build a satisfactory model of this iconic car. Cheers for Polar Lights! At the time of release I bought both the pre-painted version and the full-featured flat boxed edition. I built the pre-painted version straight away while (embarrassingly) the flat boxed kit is still in my "someday" pile. I think I may build it as the more realistic studio version with the Lincoln engine... or maybe the Penguin-Mobile. Great job on yours and your photography is excellent too. David G.

Nicely Done! Beautiful work on the lighting effects. Did you post a thread under the Work In Progress section? I'd love to see how you worked the LEDs into the build. David G.
  25. One of my all-time favorite car designs, put me down for one! David G.
