Totally cool. Love the photos of your car. What year were you stationed in Okinawa? I did a full detail conversion on that kit a few years ago - it was kind of difficult finding reference photos online. The kit is actually one of the nicer 1/32 ARII kits.

Made a huge mistake!!!

Don’t spend more time than the AB is worth... -
Michael, fantastic work. That is one beautiful model. Loved the WIP too so we could all that went into it.

Cool. I built one way back when it was new car. Decent model. I think I struggled to replicate the orange turn signal on the front end - it’s part of the headlight and if I remember, it isn’t represented on the part. I think I used some BMF and some orange paint...turned out ok. Just ok.

I am 98.6% sure Hasegawa will never make a LHD version of this car, so buy it now, I guess. There were only like 80 or so made that way anyhow... Pedals are the same configuration left or right. Regardless of the location of the steering wheel, the car is a beautiful piece of work. Which side your sitting on doesn’t change the flow of the fenders. -
Probably. Or a replica. You would have to work to actually avoid one without the flares, as there weren’t a ton of Bajas made and I wouldn’t imagine many people would add the flares - since the fenders were “flared” or rolled from stock fenders for clearance.
-
I don't know which is correct for the Stroppe, but most (90%) of the ones I have seen online have the stock air cleaner. I don't see "chrome" air cleaner cover as an option on the one spec list either. Doesn't mean it wasn't offered, I guess. My grandpa had a brown bronco with with flares, front and rear, so I guess this makes it easier to reproduce that... I noticed it also says "8 1/2 x 15 wheels - painted" - most online have aftermarket or chrome?

Isuzu is due out in February. I think the open hood might be to accommodate a year change? Looking at chassis it’s molded up like a curbside and I don’t see any engine parts... -

Cool. Been a while since Tamiya released the 1:18 Honda 360. -
You’ve got a great combination going on Rob. I like it a lot.

Yeah, Pagasus “Magnums” are big. They are kind of soft in detail too - I had to add my own lugs. They are so-so...

So, front fender flares: yes Wheels are (besides the fact I hate the new die cast style mounting flange) nice - deep steelies with good lug detail. They will probably look a lot better stripped and repainted. Chrome sprue still includes the “baby” hubcaps... The new tires are pretty cool. Definitely better than the first go. I don’t know if anything else is different

Yeah, kind of a fail, it appears. The box art Bronco does NOT have front flares, but the photo of the model above shows front flares. Mine is sitting at home unopened, so I will take a look and post some photos this evening.

That does look great. One of Revell’s best models, in my opinion. Love the color.

It appears the quality and detail on that engine surpasses molded plastic parts. The actual “v” on the pulley for the belts alone is awesome. The “fins” on the alternator? Wow.

Slammer has no engine or interior and blacked out windows. Curbside is just a model with no engine - although there is some gray in that some have bottom sides or top sides but not a complete, separate engine assembly. That is the general definition, I believe. Not sure if all contests have the same interpretation.

Pro Touring chassis donor?
Erik Smith replied to Dirty Dave's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
What about the Foose Cadillac? I really don’t know anything about pro-touring, but it looked like a modern chassis and engine style setup?
