  1. I have that Dodge L700 with that Flatbead Trailer and '40 Ford. Not a great kit at all. Parts are not looking as realistic as I hoped, and doors don't fit nicely to the Dodge Cab. Also when I haven't built many Truck kits, I don't know all the parts and what they are. I can remember that parts trees have part numbers, but instructions don't. Or was it other way, that instructions have part numbers, but part trees don't. Well anyway, not the best kit from Lindberg, but really worth buying and building. The subject is cool and with some detail and scratchbuilt parts it will look awesome. (And no, I'm not talking about mine now...) Haven't started the Ford much yet, but the quality of that kit doesn't matter that much, since it will be basically Old School Custom with lots of modified parts.
  2. This is very cool! Big and good looking Early 60's Car turns out into Pro Sportsman? Pro Mod? Drag Racer. What will be the correct category for this? Great job, looks like the chassis needs some extension.
  3. This is near perfection! I was drooling in the WIP Topic too, but now I have to pick up my jaw pieces from the floor. Great job on paint and all of those details, especially the grille looks awesome. Wheels and tires look very good and realistic, too. Excellent build, absolutely the best '69 Chevelle, I've ever seen.
  4. Interesting list. I agree with the Corvette. '63 Split Window 'Vette is one of my favorites. That really might belong to Top 5 Material. I like Riviera Body Shapes very much, but I think that it's not Top 5 Material. Very cool car, yes, but I can find many cars which are nicer, for example '57 Corvette with Fuel Injection. Then there would be already two Corvettes, but that's just because they are nice. '70 Chevrolet Camaro... NO, even if it's really nice car. But '69 Camaro looks better to me. That one or '68 Firebird would be better on that '70 Camaro's place. '66 Oldsmobile Toronado.... NO. Not my favorite cars, of course that '66 Year Model is much better than those newer Toronados, but anyway that doesn't fit inside the Top 5 List. For Example Buick GSX would be better choice. Pontiac Solstice Coupe... NEVER! Very ugly car in my opinion. Really terrible body design, looks like typical new car: Too Much Plastic and ugly body shaping. Maybe an owner of 1:1 Pontiac Solstice Coupe has made that list, that's the only reason why I can see it there. Well, seriously, better choice would've been for example '87 Buick GNX. BUT I wonder, where are: -'68 Impala SS -'60 Chevy Impala HT -'59 Chevy Impala HT -'58 Impala -'72 Chevelle (Yep, much cooler than 1970). -'74 Chevelle -'53 Chevrolet Bel Air -Chevy Coupes from '40 to '48. -Tri Five Chevrolets -'69 Nova SS -'72 Pontiac LeMans This could keep going and going, but there are a few. And yep, it's My Opinion.
  5. I have never built any kit more than once. Well now I'm kind of building Miss Deal Studebaker FC for the second time, but now I'm using Simca Vedette body... But I guess that doesn't count. Anyway my favorite kit is maybe Moebius Models' Hudson or '55 Chrysler C300 NASCAR version. I'm sure that the Stock Version is worth buying too.
  6. Wow, Great Job! I like the body style of this Monte Carlo, especially in NASCAR Tracks. Your builds are always very clean and nicely finished. Just wondering, how many finished builds you have?
  7. Yep, all of them are very nice. My favorite is the last one, somehow paint job and details just look the best. But as I said, all of them are awesome builds, as always.
  8. Cool Plymouth! Pretty much body modifications, but you did awesome job! It looks great to me, the front fenders continue very smoothly all the way back. Very cool one, I will keep watching.
  9. Here are pictures of Cruising in Espoo. http://tapahtumakuvia.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2012/Cruisings/Espoo/Espoo+13.7.2012/ And One Teaser: And here are pictures of Cruising in Vantaa. http://tapahtumakuvia.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2012/Cruisings/Vantaa/Vantaa+20.7.2012/ Here are pictures from Cruising in Helsinki: http://tapahtumakuvia.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2012/Cruisings/Helsinki/ It was a shame, that there came pretty hard rain, but luckily I found good place where I was able to stay dry...
  10. Here's some more work. I painted the Roll Cage silver, and added some Roll Bar Padding, it's made from Tamiya Masking Tape. I built seat belts too, Simpson Logos are still missing, but I'm trying to install them tomorrow. I had to cut a hole to the seat, for one belt. I wanted to replicate Wrap Around belts, not Bolt On type. Those are installed just like real WrapAround seat belts. Not easy to do, but I'm quite happy about the result. Also glued the Door panels, which have decals and details painted now, also panel lines are black, but they didn't turn out as good as I wanted. Dashboard decals are on too, and Door Panels & Dashboard are glued on their place. I have to add Tachometer, and Switch Panel yet.
  11. Good job on Vintage NASCAR Racer. These are always nice to see. You did great job with this Galaxie. Paint, details, decals, parts fit etc. are looking terrific. Good job with this. I have to build something like this too, so I can use my Plastic Performance Products' wheels and tires.
  12. Looks good. Very interesting build, too. I really like the chassis detail, little adjusting on the wheel base, and it'll look Killer.
  13. Good Job! Vega is shaping up nicely, this will look great when completed. Lots of work, but you're doing good job.
  14. It's really shame that this Reissue is so bad quality, and I mean the parts count. Otherwise this would be Must Have kit for me. Is there better quality kit of '59 Caddy "Wagon"/Hearse etc.? You're doing very good job on this one. Interesting build, I'll be watching.

    58 Edsel.

Heh, that sounds typical for me. Great job with Edsel, beautiful paint. Very smooth and shiny paint, as always in your builds. Can't see any fit issues from here, you did great job with my Favorite FoMoCo product from the 50's.
  16. This is gonna be another excellent build. I can't wait to see it, 1:1 Car does have awesome paint job, I can't wait to see that in 1/16 Scale.
  17. The frame looks fantastic, Clay! Looks like everything is on their place, and very well finished. I can't see that some tubing wouldn't fit nicely to other tubing, which is the problem in my Tube frames, and now when painted the frame looks even better than it did in plastic.
  18. Cool build of great subject. I like these Old Dragsters, you did awesome job with this one. I like the details on this one. Excellent build.
  19. WOW!!!!! How is this even possible?! Incredible work, Bill. Cylinder Heads, Valve Covers and engine Block look just like real parts. Great job, I will watch this one very closely. B)
  20. Okay. I'm from Vantaa, Finland. I've lived here all my life. If someone thinks that there are not Hobby Shops, or Model Kits in Finland, you're wrong. Almost all kits, I buy are bought from Finland, only a few kits need to be ordered from Model Express. And we have lots of 1:1 American Cars here in Finland too, so it's not only Model Kits. http://tapahtumakuvia.kuvat.fi/kuvat/
  21. I haven't seen any other kit of '87 Camaro, than this Bigger Scale Model Kit. Of course there's Revell '85 Camaro, but I don't know the differences between '85 and '87.
  22. Great Studebaker. I really like the over all look, and stance. This is the thing, I would build from Avanti too, so the subject is interesting, too. Great job.
  23. Interior work... The floor part needed some work, I had to remove the locators for rear seat. After little putty, I primered the floor, and painted flat black. I also painted the dashboard, door panels and seats are white. I wanted to make white interior, because black is seen so often, and I actually like white Interior on Blue car (Yep, this'll be Blue). Also modified the roll cage, now it's the same as NHRA minimum reguirement. It's bit rough still, but after I sand that putty smooth and cover it with paint, it'll look good. Tomorrow I'm planning to move on Interior details, this is just a Mock Up. Little Chassis work too:
  24. Airbrush is not a "Must Have" equipment. I have painted many, many bodies with spray can paints, and they turn out well too. I have to say that spray can paint is as good as Airbrushed paint, after clearcoat and polishing. There is not a big difference. I can't say what Spray Paint to use, since we have different paints here in Finland than you have there.
  25. Turned out GREAT. Amazing work all over, I enjoyed very much watching this come together. You did great job with replicating Aluminium, Flames looks awesome, too. Detailing is perfect, as always. Amazing job, as always, John. Thanx for sharing this one.
