  1. That looks so nice and clean! These cars definitely look the best with those stock steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps. Your paint job turned out very nice and the color choice fits perfectly to this body. Very nicely done Charger overall.
  2. That Dodge D100 is definitely interesting. I'm also waiting to see what version it will be, but as I have none of them on my stash, I'll probably end up buying that reissue anyway. And that Ford C600 is a must have. Beautiful body style, I've been looking for those older issues but haven't found any in here... Now I'm very glad to see that a new version is coming.
  3. This will be a cool project. These '40 Fords make great Gassers and I really like how the 1:1 version looks. After seeing some of your work I know this is going to be amazing. And yes, the George Klass' site is very good, I've also spent many hours browsing that site and searching for reference material for different kinds of vintage builds.
  4. I was hoping to see somekind of cool old European or Japanese car that would have been a must have... But that ugly new Ford GT does nothing for me, unfortunately.
  5. Great to see another one of these built! Especially when it's done as cleanly as this one. Very nice work on paint and decals, and the engine bay seems to be nicely done as well. Excellent work.
  6. I have no clue either. I spent bunch of time in Google trying to figure out what could it be, but came up with nothing. Unless it comes up in the next couple of days, I think I'll just have to wait for the right answer. Well, doesn't matter if I find it or not, it's fun to search what could it be.
  7. Great work on that Corvette! Glad to see you building one, as I haven't seen much of these '73 and newer C3 Corvettes built. Very nice work so far, the engine looks really good and it's always good to see that nice bodywork being done. Can't wait to see more pics.
  8. Very nice work on this Cameo, it has to be one of the best builds of this kit that I've ever seen. Small details just like the opened up grill really make it stand out. The overall look is very realistic in the pictures, honestly I can't point out anything that I would do different.
  9. I found it pretty fast that it's a Rovin, but it took me a while to figure out if it's D3 or D4. Eventually I found it out that it has to be a D3 and got it right. Waiting for next week's Quiz with great interest.
  10. Well I'll continue then. Last weekend I was at a Rockabilly Party here in Finland. Monkey And The Baboons from Poland sounded (and looked ) excellent, they performed a great cover of Dave Edmunds' Trouble Boys. And the second band, Crystal & Runnin' Wild was excellent, too! Don't know how well known this original version is, but as it has 553 000 views in YouTube, maybe it can be count as a well-known song.... Anyway, they performed What A Way To Die, which was a huge improvement to the original Pleasure Seekers' version, in my opinion at least.
  11. This morning I stopped at a gas station to get a cup of coffee while driving to school with my truck. One car stood out from the rest at the parking lot, and it was this '66 Chevy Caprice. It was probably just arrived from USA as it had Texas plates on it.
  12. I'm in! Since I had no time to build anything for Cannonball 2018, I want to try this one. The idea sounds very interesting, and it's great that there are rules that limit what we can and can't do. Interesting to see how everyone is going to "bend" the rules, as a Drag Racer myself I know that if something is not forbidden, it's allowed. Rob participated with a '51 Chevy Fleetline. My entry is a bit similar, but it's a Bel Air. Hope that is OK. So I'd like to go with '51 Chevrolet Bel Air and start with number 13. Someone has crashed my Chevy, so I need to fix it up. Though it might be that some scratches and dents are left as a "memory" from the possible previous rallies.
  13. Yes, as some guys already said, it is from Jo-Han '66 AMC Marlin. I checked with my other Jo-Han AMC kits, and it can't be from AMC Javelin or AMX.
  14. Great to see this kit being reissued. The older versions are not easy to find around here, and this kit is a perfect starting point for a Mild Custom. So I'll be surely buying one when they're out.
  15. Those are some great looking Fords! This is probably my favorite era of Stock, Super Stock (and Factory Experimental) racing, so I'm really happy to see this kind of models built. All of them are done very nicely, great work.
  16. I knew that it was an European Van and I knew about what years it was built in. But finding out what it actually is, wasn't that easy. I think I've seen one at some place, but had no idea what it was. But eventually I found it out while surfing in Google...
  17. Yep Dave you said nothing about the Big Block. And yes there are some "Small" Blocks that are over 400 Cid, but that can't be done with 283 or 265. Personally I don't care what size SBC someone likes to call it, but if one wants to build an accurate model out of this kit, it's good to know what the kit engine really is.
  18. Hey, I'm only 21 years old. But seriously speaking, it's good that people buy those electric cars. That way there is more gasoline for us who need it.
  19. Today I saw a clean late '70s Dodge Aspen here in Finland. It had winter tires on so it's probably used as a daily driver. Those are not so rare cars around here, but seeing one in that nice condition is pretty rare. Then a bit later I saw an orange Plymouth Van that has a Mopar Big Block mill. Here's a picture of the same car, taken a few weeks ago at a local garage party.
  20. I agree with what Gaute said above, it's good that I'm not the only one who thinks that now they ruined a good COPO Camaro by installing an electric "engine" in it. I tried to post a reply a couple of times to this topic already, but I couldn't find a way to say it nicely... So I'm just going to say that I have absolutely zero interest in any of those electric cars, they are absolutely horrible. Here in Finland I drive every day with my Chevrolet Truck, yes it consumes a bit of gasoline but it's quality that costs.
  21. The BadMan kit engine is clearly a Small Block and not a 396 BBC. The valve covers, heads and headers are clearly SBC parts... Of course it's impossible to tell the engine size, but if I remember correctly it has the old oil filter, which was used on at least 265 and 283 Cid engines and not found on more modern SBCs.
  22. This is great news, so it looks like we get three of these Comet FX kits if the B/FX version is coming out at some point, too. I just got the Arnie Beswick version of this kit, but it looks like I'll have to get one of these as well. I really like these Comets, so great to see multiple versions of this kit.
  23. I agree, this would be a must have kit for me. But somehow I'm afraid that it won't happen at least in the near future. That Ventura would make an excellent Stock Eliminator car...
  24. Got my copy of the new Moebius Models & Model King Arnie Beswick's '65 Comet A/FX kit. Looks like a great kit, can't wait to start building it. '65 Comet has been one of the cars that I've wanted to build for a long time...
  25. Yes, flash shield would look better than the air cleaner. Plus that making one is really easy, I used beer can aluminum on mine. Otherwise the Ford is looking excellent! I think you nailed the period look perfectly with it and it's great to see that not all of these old Gassers are built as "super shiny show cars" or something like that. Nice work!
