  1. Don, congrats on your awards too! I have not seen too many photos, does anyone have some to share?
  2. You know I dig it The point Dave brings up about the roof is true, kinda sad. You did a great job straightening things out though. When I build mine I will skip the roof work...but the roof won't be the same.
  3. 49 views and not one reply? dang... well I am replying because even if it's stock (not stock builder)....I think it's very nice! great color and very clean built! I saw it in some pics from the NNL and was impressed. Keep up the good work!

This is one of my many favorite box art's. I built this from a different version of the kit which is pictured below. I will get a box sometime to display next to. For now, here is a decent image to go by and I hope you enjoy! I built this over the weekend, it's painted even though it was molded in black and is clear coated. I used Gooche decals. more pics here... http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc...32-ford-vicky-/ This is the kit I used..
  14. SWEET! foil work is very nice , rake is right on! nice detail too.
  15. All I use is Dupli Color and have used it on resin and plastic.....no problems.
  16. Gorgeous conversion Lyle, I bet he would be drooling over it.
  17. nothing but love buddy!
  18. Lyle, I saw an error in one of your photos. I hope you don't mind me fixing for ya.
  19. I am glad you made it back ok, I bet your arms are like rubber after that flight. Nice photos and thanks for sharing with us Gregg! Was there a group photo taken?
  20. that's nice! I like it without the top a lot! The wheels with WW's looks great, nice build!
  21. Try this stuff, it will solve the adhesion problem. Not sure what to tell you about them lifting after clear coating though? As for the decals falling apart in water....hmmm, not sure? I do know that they are very thin decals, kinda crinkly and if the paper backing is not completely soaked the decals will tear when trying to remove them. Best luck.
  22. Gary hasn't busted the seal on his builds yet! Wait til' he posts more.....welcome Gary!
  23. "The next guy to start a non-model related topic answers to ME!!!"
  24. I wish him luck in his new ventures. I never knew him, but since I used to build nothing but lowriders back when it was actually popular to do, I remember the stories and how to's from Lowrider Bicycle Magazine (no longer in production). If it was not for them times, there would have never been any decent looking wheels for lowrider modelers. Back before I ever heard of Model Cars Magazine and any others.... ...LRB was the magazine I looked for on the shelf. Half models and half bicyles. I remember exactly how the first wire wheels looked, and at the time they were very cool. I remember when guys put o-rings on wire hubcaps because not everyone had them. Before I saw any after market wires, I would shave my tires down really low and use the most "custom" looking wheels in the kit or that I might have from my parts box. Now days.....I am very glad we have so much available to us, I use only what I want to use because it's easy to get.
  25. very interesting! nice restyling here, keep it coming!
