  1. Not sure about the nose, but your skill is appreciated.
  2. These are pretty darn sweet. It's always been sad that there's no 1/25 Lotus 7 kit.
  3. It was part of one of those 24 hour builds. I usually paint outside. It was 31 degrees and several inches of very wet snow. So, I painted in a cardboard box in the basement that night.
  4. I built this for my my Lemonz entry. A 1992 Dodge Stealth. 3 liter, twin-turbo, V-6, five speed manual, with all wheel drive, and the rare jet option.
  5. I work at HL and have ordered the model kits. We order the models individually. Sometimes they don't come for months, like the Foose truck this summer. Now there's no problem getting them. Keep checking and yes, it does help to find out who does the ordering for your store and make sure they know that you want a certain kit. Some of the girls have little interest and skip over missing kits.
  6. That's the worst resin that I've seen, ever.
  7. It looks like the axle tubes are bolted to the rear end housing,(not stock?). Is this where the negative camber is achieved? If not, how was it done?
  8. Very nice. Back in '76 a friend built this Corvair Isetta.
  9. I understand that all the 1:1 articles say it's a 289, but the Surf'n Van box says 351. Would AMT lie to us?
  10. I've been wondering which motor it has. Usually you hear small block Ford or 289-302, but the SurFin Van clearly shows this engine to be a 351, which is harder to find. Need to check if it really has the taller deck height.
  11. Don't think so, just something I had laying around. I think silly putty would be shiner.
  12. I have had success making small parts, largest was an intake manifold, using straight super glue (CA). Here I made a brake rotor and caliper. The original is the gray one on the right
  13. You can always use the 40% coupon on the full price. Our supply truck came last Friday and it had the Foose FD-100 on it.
  14. I work and I was surprised to see the 20% off signs. Toys and hobbies rarely go on sale and when they do it's usually 30%. You can still use the 40% coupon on any one item per day. When models are clearanced, they start out at 60% off, then reduced another 40% at a later date. That's how some kits go for $7-10.
  15. No pixs. Didn't happen.
  16. I'm sure somewhere, some how, someone attached one of these to a Kubelwagen .
  17. My late best friend won many road racing championships racing a NSU 1000TT. I co-drove in endurance races. They shared their engines with the Mammoth motor cycle. I'd buy one. Been looking for one for years. The NSU Spider was the first Western production car in the world to be powered by a Wankel rotary engine. I also raced one of those, once.
  18. Amazing work. That's the Alex that I remember.
  19. Nicely done. Your springs look good, but it might be better and easier to wrap the wire around a properly sized screw.
  20. Good to see you back Alex. Give 'em hell.
  21. 1. When saving your artwork Make sure it is at least 300 dpi. 2. Set your printer quality setting to BEST, not normal.
  22. Possible good news today. I work at the Brookfield, WI Hobby Lobby. We get our supply truck on Friday mornings. I was talking to our driver and she said her next stop was in the Chicago area, to pick up 25 pallets of Revell kits to tak to our main warehouse in Oklahoma.
  23. Pictures have been replaced.
  24. Those dollar store LEDs are rectangular and work good for rectangular headlights of the '80's and side marker lights. For round headlights look for Christmas lights. Back in 2008 I wrote " I had purchased some LED X-mas replacement lights months ago, but hadn't looked at them since. That was the first time that I saw replacement Xmas LED bulbs for sale. I found them at Menards, a home improvement center owned by NASCAR driver Paul Menard's billionaire father. They come in 3-packs. All white, all red, all blue, and a green/orange/and yellow combo. They are about 5mm across. Best of all they are only $1.19 per 3-pack. They are rated 2V for red and 3.4 V for white. All the colors say "0.02 amps max"." Best of all they come in both dome and flat ends. I wrote two detailed threads about using these LEDs. Mach 5 with working lights Advanced LED lights and 4060 computer chips Looks like I have to replace the pixs.
  25. First non-factory built Factory 5 GTM that I have seen on the street.
