  1. I have a paint stand for the body, and for smaller parts I tape them onto an old 1 foot ruler or some paint mixing sticks from my local Home Depot that are used when mixing a gallon of paint.
  2. Please keep all the snow by you, many thanks!
  3. That sounds convenient to use your dad's spray booth. I don't have room for a spray booth, however a good buddy of mine invited me over to use his when I need to. Guess I might take him up on the offer this winter, we'll see?
  4. Great project as I'm a fan of the F&F movies, and of course I just love dem Mopars!
  5. Dave, I bought a new truck last year also, and I have no desire to build a model of it. I can go in the garage and look at it at any time, and I have plenty of other kits that I would rather build than my current ride. I've been driving pick up trucks for about 40 years and have no need for an extended or super crew cab, or even four wheel drive as they plow the snow where I live. Here's a photo of my F-150. While a few late model pick up trucks would be popular with a lot of modelers, I honestly don't think that the model companies would break even toolin' up a newer truck kit.
  6. That Caddy is lookin' real good Jim, and I need to get back to my Eldorod that I had started but got side tracked with a Mopar kit that I'm workin' on also.
  7. Added on state and local taxes, nah that's not possible is it???
  8. Very nice build on that jeep and Bullet, and in the 50's I spent a lot of hours in front of the screen watching the Roy Rogers Show.
  9. I have some of that orange acetate in my stash as I use it for "gasser glass." Good stuff and it was made by a company called Midwest. I don't know if they're still in business or not though. The acetate sheets came in a variety of colors.
  10. FACT of life, you win some and you lose some.
  11. Very nice job on that Road Runner build, as I too am currently working on a '70 Road Runner. I just love dem B-body Mopars!
  12. Thanks for the video as up 'til now I haven't seen it. Still a sad story as I would've been devastated to lose one car yet alone a whole collection, that probably took years to assemble.
  13. Great job on that gasser build Matt, and I do mean GREAT. Lots of work and details and good choice of colors also.
  14. While there may be a market for late model pick up truck kits, I believe it is kind of small and wouldn't sell enough kits to break even at the cost of tooling up a new model kit.
  15. I have the 1mm and 2mm pens and sometimes wonder why I even got them as I've been doin' fine all these years without chrome pens. I'll try it on the horn ring of my current build, and maybe on some of the lettering also, we'll see?
  16. Wow, that is terrible news and sorry to hear it. That gentleman had some really nice rides and as a "car guy" I know that was devastating.
  17. Lookin' real good Bill, and enjoy your new toy.
  18. Very nice build on that Charger Eric and I'm likin' your color choice also. I just love dem Mopars!
  19. I was not aware that Casey is NO longer one of the moderators. Thanks. to Michael and Dave for keeping this forum running smoothly.
  20. Maybe early or mid-May, as we went in mid-June last year and they had record breaking "high" temps. All depends how much you want to sweat, and yeah I know that it's a "dry heat."
  21. Very nice build on that Charger as I just love dem Mopars, especially B-bodies.
  22. Sorry to hear the bad news of one of the legends in drag racing. May he R.I.P.
  23. I had heard earlier some of his music on Sirius radio this morning, but didn't know that he had passed away. May he R.I.P. as I've always liked his music.
