  1. I display my finished models with the shiny side up, and therefore the solid wire axles don't bother me a bit as they can't be seen unless you turn the model upside down. When I buy AMT kits from the late 50's and early 60's they also have the wire axles and it's no problem for me. I have plans for the Eldorod and look forward to getting one.
  2. Very nice build on both of those T-buckets Mike, and what did you use to fabricate the roll bar on the Little Drag. Thanks.
  3. The Revell description does't mention anything about it being pre-painted.
  4. Some people call it dyeing Easter eggs, some call it Swirl-a-delic, etc. and I'm sure there's other names for that technique of painting cars.
  5. Being "prepared" is a good motto and usually pays off at certain times.
  6. My better half clean up my computer today and it seems to work a lot better, and so does Photobucket.

  8. I'm sure that my local hobby shop is a "preferred shop" and I'll stop by this week I hope, and have them put one aside for me.
  9. I saw the built up of that kit on display at the Milwaukee NNL and will be getting one for sure, as I'm currently workin' on a '64 Caddy convert kit, and I've owned a couple of Caddys in the past.
  10. That's not good, and my photo bucket isn't working correctly either. I'm a paid subscriber also. Hmmmmm???
  11. I've been building plastic model kits since the mid-50's and have been enjoying it off and on since then. I really don't see a 3-D printer in my future at all, however I may order some parts from time to time made by a printer. The 3-D printer is another item I can do without just like a spray booth, air brush & compressor, and also a dehydrator. Of course if I had the room I would buy a spray booth in a heartbeat, but I don't right now.
  12. I would use them wet myself. No matter how fine the grains, you need to lubricate and clean the pads.
  13. I'm driving behind some yoyo in a 50mph zone and coming up to an intersection where the light is green, and this idiot is braking for a green light? I don't even want to know what he would do if the light was red.
  14. I have the Detail Master exhaust/header flanges and they're great to have on hand. Be sure to get both the small & large sets.
  15. It is different. Does the front clip fit over the engine or no? If it does, that Austin runs as a gasser. Remove the front clip and that same car can run in the altered class as well. Great idea on that build.
  16. Jimmy Flintstone used to offer the B400 body, and it may still be available in his lineup. You'll have to check his website if you're interested.
  17. Very nice build on that street rod Dan.
  18. That is a "really cool" build Rodney. Great job!
  19. Prices falling on Mopars? Don't see that happin' to the Mopar prices at www.carsonline.com.
  20. Those kits are coming and so is Christmas. Which comes first is beyond me?
  21. Did you check with Model Car Garage?
  22. Thanks as I checked one of my reference books and it is a 1969 Three Hundred.
