  1. Very nice build on that dragster George, and I can relate to the name as I used to be a Young American once but then time caught up with me.
  2. We Have 2012 and 2016 vehicles and while they're very nice, I honestly can do without a lot of those gizmos that come with them.
  3. GROAN, another one of those newfangled cars??? I'd be lookin' for a '69 Charger before lookin' at a Tesla.
  4. Welcome to the forum Dennis, as this is a great place to be.
  5. It IS a rumor as someone had sent me that news a month ago. So I went to my local Hobby Lobby and asked, no they are not closing and plans to open up 12 more Hobby Lobby stores are in the works.
  6. Great project David, and interesting build.
  7. Welcome to the forum Frank, as this is a great place to be. BTW, what kind of Dodge do you drive?
  8. A VERY Happy Thanksgiving to ALL of you and your families. I know that I have a LOT to be thankful for.
  9. I saw a rep for Auto World at a show last weekend and the '68 Elky/soap box racer should be on the shelves mid-Dec. to late Dec.
  10. Over the years throughout my working career, I've had some rough times when work was slow more often than I care to remember. I've collected food stamps, unemployment benefits, workman's compensation, and also social security disability benefits as well. A lot of these benefits were covered by the companies I worked for paying into unemployment benefits, and insurance to cover workman's comp. I had been paying into social security since 1962, and If I needed any of these benefits so be it as I had contributed my share. If one doesn't collect the benefits that are entitled to them when they need them, then they are cheating themselves.
  11. They'll also be collecting Toys for Tots if you're feeling generous at this show.
  12. Have you checked with MCW Resins?
  13. Ken is right, take it slow and don't concern yourself or try to do too much. Things have a way of working out.
  14. Very nice and great job. Now can you post a photo of the rest of the car? TIA
  15. Looks like your granddaughter is doing very well with the airbrush and you'll have to get one for yourself. LOL! That color on the Bee is "shocking" but the car does look real nice. I like the colors on the '57 as it was a good choice.
  16. Lookin' good Kerry, but where's the caboose? LOL!
  17. Awesome work Randy, especially that bridge. Thanks.
  18. What a great bunch of truck models Terry, and thanks for sharing the photos with us.
  19. Yes they are great to look at and admire, and I'm sorry that when the Mints were still in business, that I didn't buy more of them.
  20. Wow, you have a "ton" of work into that build and VERY nicely done. Congrats!
  21. I was talkin' 'bout 40+ exposed buttons, knobs, etc,, and I didn't get to the ones on the touchscreen as yet.

  23. You might be able to find a "glue bomb" Coronet at a swap meet, but your chances are slim.I was able to find a built up Coronet last fall, but have sold it since then.
  24. Yes, now that you had mentioned it I do remember those perks offered to us modelers. That was a looooong time ago. Today the only perk they offer is a box to put the kit in.
  25. Yes Harry, life changes can happen anytime and we have to deal with it the best we know how. Good luck to you my friend, as I'll continue the prayers for you.
