  1. Really? I've worked MANY 40 hour weeks Harry out in the bitter cold and the blazing sun, just to feed my family, pay some bills, pay the mortgage, and try to make ends meet. And I'm talkin' 'bout doin' this year after year for decades. Easy, not at all.
  2. I recently used a can of Dupli-Color paint that I had bought 'bout 17 years ago and it worked fine. While I don't use spoons, I did have a spare Corvette hood that I had used to test the paint on because of its age.
  3. Great bunch of cars there Lance. I especially like the altered roadster and the '65 Dodge. I did build the Mystery Tornado in 1/25th scale.
  4. Here's a Chevy pickup truck that I recently finished this year. The first pickup truck I've finished in a loooooong time.
  5. I got my car back from my shop that I've been dealing with for years and my bill was high as I guesstimated it to be, but it wasn't staggering like I feared it might be. Oh well, more "airline miles," and that always makes my wife happy.
  6. Oh I sometimes use Testors Clear and other times Tamiya Clear. When it comes to paint brands, I'm sworn to fun and loyal to none.
  7. What a great lookin' project you've got goin' there Bob, and I just love dem Mopars. Maybe one of these days (years) I'll get to my JoHan Mopar kits as well.
  8. Hmmm, I haven't noticed any problems using Testors "rattle cans" over the past few years. I sprayed this Chevy earlier this year with Testors Acapulco Blue and had no problems at all.
  9. I don't blame you for not wanting to work with a poor quality resin casting, and now see why you're anxious for the upcoming Moebius Comet kit.
  10. Mitch, MCW has offered the '65 Comet kit for awhile now, and just discontinued it due to the upcoming Moebius kit.
  11. I think that some of the guys omit using all of the racks, or cut the bottoms of some racks so they can get a car body in there.
  12. While I have a few projects started, and plenty of un built kits in my "stash," I wait for NO kit to be released. Sure I intend on getting the new Comet kit, but it doesn't matter to me if it comes out next December. I really don't understand how guys with hundreds of model kits are just "chompin' at the bit" for this kit or that kit and or re-issue to be realeased???
  13. Very nice job on that Galaxie build Bruce, very nice. I haven't built the sedan as yet, but I did get to build the '46 Coupe earlier this year.
  14. Were the balls deflated, or no???
  15. I didn't have time for the Bears game today Harry as I went with a couple of friends to a model car swap/contest and then to Hooters for lunch, as I just love dem wings. Guess I'll have to watch the highlights of the game on the news, and read about it in the paper tomorrow.
  16. C'mon Harry, you know that every football game is just a "crapshoot."
  17. Have you checked out the mufflers that come with the Revell '68 Hemi Dart kit, or wouldn't they work?
  18. Awesome job on that Chrysler Tim, and excellent color choice as well. I just love dem Mopars!
  19. I would use the 91% Isoprophyl Alcohol as I've used it to strip a pre-painted Polar Lights body and it worked great!
  20. Sorry to hear that you have "neighbor troubles" as that's not good and something that I try hard to avoid. Around here, I don't think that any landscape service uses a rake anymore.
  21. Since I don't "crank out" one model build a week, I'm in no hurry for paint to dry and I always have other projects I can work on. Yes I let my bodies, chassis, parts, etc. "air-dry" and it works for me. I don't have to spend money on a dehydrator or find a place to put it either. I guess my model building is rather simplified, but it works for me.
  22. If I can listen to my neighbors dog, he can listen to my leaf blower, my snow thrower, and my lawn mower as well.
  23. As long as it works for you, that's all that counts.
  24. After 35+ years in the construction trades, I've had my share of ladders and only use them around the house when I really need to, like to hang a picture, clean gutters, etc., and that's only because it's part of my job in my new career as a professional retiree. Besides I don't want to make the local electric company rich either.
