  1. Looks great Walter, and I would have love to seen a vinyl top on that build, as I owned a couple of mie-70's Caddys.
  2. Keep it P.G., well probably when I was in Arkansas in 1971 doin' 130 mph in my Super Bee and holdin' it back so it wouldn't get away from me, as there was still some pedal left. And another time when I was cruising home through Iowa doin' 90 mph 'til I came upon a Porsche convert and bumped it up to 120 mph to pass him. He then did the same, and the game went on for awhile. Then I backed off and his passenger, she waved bye-bye as I continued my 90 mph cruise. Those were the good old days, and of course I was a LOT younger then as well.
  3. Wow, he IS old! Happy Birthday Greg.
  4. Tape them on and check it out.
  5. A LOT of us will do that Carl, however as I get older I no longer feel the need to "stockpile" kits. Like a lot of us, I have plenty to build and I'm sure that I'll leave plenty behind as well. No sense in adding more fuel to the fire. Yes I'll still buy kits in the future, but now I'm being more selective and hopefully buying less kits.
  6. VERY nice job on that "pony car." How old is your grandson? Mine will have to wait a bit as he'll just turn two years old this month. Guess he'll have to stick with Lego blocks for awhile longer.
  7. I still have parts from that kit from long time ago, like the beautiful wire wheels/ tires, the engine, and the side mirrors aslo.
  8. Seems like a LOT of vehicles are operating under remote control, as if you look at the drivers they look way to busy to be driving them.
  9. You will get your resin parts and kits BEFORE you finish building ALL your un-built model kits. Trust me.
  10. MOVING? That's a scary thought.
  11. What pleased me is I went to a "cruise night" at a local Dog 'N Suds tonight, and they had an 18 piece swing band for entertainment, as well as some really nice rides.
  12. I ordered a couple of '65 Satellites as well as the new Revell '29 Model A Roadster kit. They'll probably just be added to the "pile" as I'm currently workin' on three models already.
  13. That would probably fit in the bed of my pickup truck.
  14. Eric, did you use an enamel paint, or lacquer? I've never used a dehydrator and seem to get along just fine without it. It's not like I'm gonna build a model in one day, even though I've know guys to do this.
  15. OW! my eyes............................
  16. A tankful of gas at 30 - 40 cents per gallon cheaper than the price of gas in my neighborhood.
  17. Went to a car dealer to check out a vehicle. I wasn't there 5 minutes and two sales people had already talked to me, and one was lying already.
  18. No PROB! I'm guessing you're in Arizona by your location so clubs in Chicago area are less likely to be known. There are 3 clubs in the Chicago area and one in Southern Wisconsin that interact a lot. GTR is one. Make that TWO clubs in southern Wisconsin Gerry, the AMG club and the S.L.A.M. club.
  19. The desk that I currently and have used for years to build my models on, I got with S & H Green Stamps. That was over 50 years ago.
  20. Welcome to the forum Stephen, as this is a great place to be. Nice model builds you have there also.
  21. Yes it does, so one should make the most of their life as this is not a dress rehearsal.
  22. Another great AMG club meeting last night with a decent turnout of members and models on the display table, considering that it's in the middle of summer. Always a good time.
  23. Jason, I had just packed up my '69 Super Bee to take to a club meeting tonight, and after reading your post I had to unpack it to check, and I'll be darned as I had never noticed the reversed "bee" on the stripes. Yes you made me look, and thanks for the keen observation, "good eye." I just love dem Mopars!
  24. Yes medical issues can be very stressful, however good health is the key to a longer and happier life. Like it or not, most of the time we just have to deal with these issues.
