  1. I had to stop in River Forest today and stopped at Ram on my way home. I managed to pick up and AMT 1/16th scale '55 Chevy Nomad that was collecting dust. Now it can collect dust here. LOL! I remember and liked to stop at Stanton's very much.
  2. Grand Prix hydroplanes are smaller than the Miss Budweiser and usually run a V-8 engine. Miss Bud was an "unlimited" hydroplane.
  3. They're going to get as MUCH as they can from anybody they can. Life goes on!
  4. Gone in 60 Seconds sounds like my PAYCHECK!
  5. Todd, your Charger is lookin' good so far and while I like ALL cars, I do tend to lean toward Mopars.
  6. That engine looks really good Chuck and I'll look forward to seeing it in your buggy.
  7. The Goodguys shows run a nice model car contest and Make N' Take program. I've been a Goodguys member for years and their car shows are great! You DO NOT have to be a member to enter the model car & pedal car contest.
  8. I should be in Crook County sometime this week as I'll be on a "MISSION."
  9. Here's a Polar Lights Coronet for you.
  10. Hey Beavis, I used to live near Lawrence & Naragansett back in the mid 60's and it's still a good neighborhood.
  11. What about venting it into the attic space or aimed directly to an attic vent, would that work?
  12. I almost bought a 1:1 Satallite four years ago Darin, but it slipped through my fingers. What you see today might not be around tomorrow as I've learned. Try: www.carnut.com I believe and you'll see photos of what you're looking for.
  13. The very BEST type of air-brush for you is the one that works for you. People are different and while someone turns out great paint jobs with type A air-brush, another person can get the same results with type B air-brush, so it's another case of to each their own or whatever works best for you.
  14. I don't remember exactly what year, but the Ramchargers ran BOTH the Candymatic and the Candystick.
  15. Nice job on that gasser as that two-toned paint looks great.
  16. I had a good time at this show today and really enjoyed seeing the many guys I've known from over the years. I can't wait until the next one in September.
  17. I use Rustoleum's Silver Aluminum only because I got it for free. When I have chrome plated parts that I want to look like aluminum, I give them a coat or two of Testors Dull-Cote and it looks good.
  18. An off-road go kart? I didn't know they were ever allowed on the road, on ANY road?
  19. While I have two air-brushes and a compressor, I haven't used them in years and have got by with rattle cans. I done fades and two and three tones just fine with them and they work for me. However there are MANY modelers who prefer to use an air-brush and there is a lot more things that can be done with them. I hope one day I'll pick up my air-brush and use it again, we'll see.
  20. Nice job on that Vicky as it's lookin' good! I think I have a chopped Vicky resin body from Jimmy Flintstone somewhere in my stash.
  21. It's a decent kit and I chose it over the Polar Lights GTO to build a replica of Arnie "The Farmer" Beswick's Mystery Tornado using a Parts Pack blown 421 engine and Fred Cady decals.
  22. Must be tough mowing the lawn in February Steve, you know you could always move back to Illinois. LOL!
