  1. Yeah you'll be rewarded when she tells you that you can vacuum the rest of the house also. LOL!
  2. Only six to finish, that's not bad. I would go for the '65 Dodge Coronet.
  3. Me too, as I also like Devcon 5-minute epoxy and use it for most of my builds.
  4. Nice pics. I went to a "cruise night" last week and I have a Mopar car show coming up on Sunday.
  5. A couple light coats of Testors Dull-Coat works for me.
  6. I like it a lot and I've used it on my current build that I hope to have finished soon but I've been quite busy lately with other things. I believe I used a Krylon Shorts (?) black base coat and I bought it at Hobby Lobby.
  7. Looks great Mike, aren't you using bodies from Greg Fox anymore?
  8. I use "rattle cans" and I get a good finish no matter what I use whether it be Testors, MCW, Black Gold, Dupli-Color,etc. I really haven't tried Tamiya but I will some day.
  9. If you "google" Arnie "the Farmer" Beswick's Cars you may find more pics on that site. BTW Arnie just turned 82 years old this past Monday and I don't think there's much of anything that's going to keep him off the drag strip.
  10. Great photo and that would make a great project for someone to build.
  11. I did stare at it for awhile and it looks like a $23,000 jellybean with wheels and tires to me.
  12. While some guys would like to see this car issued, or that model kit produced, or this model car kit re-issued, I personally don't care what ends up on the hobby shop shelves if anything at all as I have enough kits to keep me busy without having to buy any more ever !
  13. I saw the Tweedy Pie kit opened at a club meeting last night and it also included a full set of cycle fenders too. The gas tank is availbable from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland.
  14. I bought my Super Bee from Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge and I've also been to Thompson in '03 which was a blast and I wish I were meeting you there next month so I can grin too.
  15. My nostalgia time was in the mid 60's when I had my first car and a full time job. Still building models, going to the drag strips as both a participant and spectator. Driving Pontiacs, modified Corvair, '65 'Vette, and a Dodge Super Bee in '69. Smoked, drank Scotch, beer, chased girls, hung out at Skip's Fiesta Drive In, the drive in movies, did some weed occasionally also. Loved the music from the 50's and 60's. Also street racing as well and making appearances in court for traffic violations too. There were LOTS of jobs available and just about EVERYTHING was made in the USA. Those were great times and hopefully I'll never forget them.
  16. Using turn signals in my state is a law, however I really don't know how well they enforce it as thousands of drivers don't use them. I guess it all part of "horray for me screw you" driving habits that many people have today. I wasn't like that back in the 60's at all. It also seems like many drivers who DO use their turn signals have to put on their brakes before putting on the turn signal. WHY is beyond the scope of my imagination as my signals work great without stepping on the brake pedal first.
  17. I like Indy as I've been there several times for the Goodguys Show and I hope to be there this year. It'll be neat doing the "track cruise."
  18. You can't beat the price on the Flintstone bodies and I have a few, although when I get to use them is another story. Jimmy's a good guy and has a lot of interesting bodies available. I might even see him at the club meeting tomorrow night.
  19. Great job on stretching the body as it looks awesome.
  20. Badger reps have put on demos at our club meetings twice and also set up a few air-brushes for the members to play (try-out) with. They were very good to us and I'm sure their service is great. I do have a Badger but haven't used any air-brush for a number of years, however if I ever get the urge to go back to air-brushing, I'll be at their doorstep buying another one.
  21. This model car kit is being tooled up and that model car is going to be released, and another version will be out in the fall, and this company will be re-issueing that kit, and another re-issue will be available in the spring, etc., etc,. etc.. All this talk about kits coming out in the future and lately I don't concern myself with any of it and only if they are ON THE SHELVES as that is the bottom line. Many model builders just CAN'T wait for another new release as if they are now working on their last model car kit instead of having HUNDREDS of unbuilt kits in their stash. These same modelers will NEVER finish all they have stockpiled already and they are always buying more. Sounds like a disease. Don't tell me I have it too???
