    I'm currently "parting" a Hemi Dart kit out for use on other builds.

    Model Empire near the Milwaukee, Wi area has about 80% of the Tamiya colors in stock as I was there last week.

    I've bought a '69 Super Bee from Grand Spaulding Dodge back in 1969 and I've seen Mr. Norm at many car shows over the last few years including the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals at the Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont on the weekend before Thanksgiving. There will be a model car contest at that show so mark your calendars guys.

    I picked up another Revell Hemi Dart kit at my local Michael's store and was able to use a 50% off coupon. I need the kit to replace the one I'm raiding for parts.

    This is an interesting addition to the forum as I also collect die-cast cars (Mints) as well as build plastic. Also some die-cast drag cars too.

    I was lucky to win one last Friday night at our club meeting and just put it on the "pile" along with the rest of the kits.

    I don't know if you were around in the mid-60's when the "gasser wars" were going strong, but gassers were coupes & sedans.

    I picked up another Meyers Manx kit at my LHS yesterday and it is molded in white plastic which I wanted as my first one that I bought happened to be the red one.

    Yes Gerry, Bill will be missed by many. I've known him for about 30 years and last saw him at the Milwaukee NNL and knew that he had major health issues. May he R.I.P.

    I picked one up at a shop in the Indy area several years ago and it's just a re-boxed Street Freak. Accurate, no.

    Wow, what a great bunch of street rods and each of them looks good.

    Building a model car kit can get pricey when you ad on the glue, paint, BMF, flocking, aftermarket parts, photo-etched parts, decals etc.. I myself haven't calculated the cost of a build as it is a hobby and supposed to be fun and I'm thankful that I don't have to watch every penny that I put into a kit.
