Corvette LT5 engines

The 39 Wagon Rod version does NOT have the Corvette markings on it. I went down to the stash and confirmed it. -
Corvette LT5 engines
Exotics_Builder replied to NOBLNG's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The LT-5 your showing is the first use of that designation (2nd in the current LT engines) and was specifically built for the ZR-1. I did this some years ago, making a ZR-1500 pickup using the ZR-1 Vette Components. I can take some more detailed photos if you wish. -
Variety of choices depending on what you want to do. Including a conversion kit to full detail a Fujimi.

I remember building the Aurora Sea Lab and giving a stash of my models built and unbuilt to my cousin as I was deeply engrossed in college. Be a nostalgic thing to do it again (photo found on web) -

Probably. Something akin to that shows up in photos of a lot of 32's. -

What are what? The decals? 19 is a pinstripe. 7 thru 10 are license plate options. 6 is a smiley decal for the differential pumpkin. Apply as you want. Otherwise, not sure what you are specifically asking about. -

As stated, but I will also use enamels selectively. I do have a dehydrator to help on dry time. -
2011 camaro convertible
Exotics_Builder replied to BDSchindler's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The 2011 is a Gen5 and 2017 a Gen6. I would have to check, but there are some differences in the chassis, but likely not enough to be a big deal. The engine bays likely vary as the Gen5 hood does not fit the Gen6 body. Again, I'd have to check out the differences. The Gen6 is an LT with direct injection, not an LS as in the Gen5. I do know with a little work that the 2011 convertible can be fit to a Revell 2010 SS chassis and the engine would also be correct. Don't offhand know how easy to acquire one though. I was fortunate enough to get a few of the 2010 SS back when they were available, several from show/meeting raffles. -

Contact Randy (assuming it is Model Builders Warehouse) and find out when he might be getting new stock. -

Have not done it in quite a while, but no. Too heavy an aluminum and you won't be able to get the detail. Previously I've used older BMF that does not have a lot of adhesion. Another option would be thinner aluminum foil (got a roll at Costco years ago). I used Testor's clear liquid cement to fill. This is from Chief Joseph, himself, (Fireball ModelWorks) "Take a small piece of common kitchen foil-- the thin kind, not heavy-duty-- and place it over the emblem you want to copy. Using a soft pencil eraser, carefully press the foil over the emblem. This action should leave a finely-detailed impression of the emblem in the foil. Take the foil and flip it over. Mix up some epoxy and fill the depression with epoxy just until it's level. Let the epoxy cure (this could take a while ), and then carefully trim away the excess foil with a new #11 blade. The epoxy-backed foil emblem is now ready to use on the model." -

Probably the best option. Could possibly even do a foil cast. -

Not of which I am aware. Here is a close up of the MCG set from what I have in the stash. I've checked several of my MCG PE detail sets for specific autos and nothing really to go on. I have not checked some of the vintage Ferrari frets I have. I could look there. -

For what vehicle? Are you referencing this type? Model Car Garage did a fret that had different radio faces and vents You can see the ones in the 3rd row from the bottom are like that. Let check the stash again this afternoon -

Just read your replies. I was going to check my stash downstairs as I have a bunch of interior detail parts. But since you already ordered, I hope they'll work. -
