  1. Hello, Does anyone know which resin company does 1967 Chevy dogdish hubcaps that would be correct for a 67 Impala? Thanks. George
  2. Casey states: "Out of curiosity, since it's presumed the original body sections for the mold are long gone, a new body would be needed. Would you prefer to see the all-new '68 Coronet body combined with he existing AMT/MPC (Round muddied the waters with the '70 Coronet R/T) '68-'70 Mopar B-body underpinnings and a '68 specific interior?" Yes, if Round 2 did an all new body and combined it with the existing Round 2 68-70 Mopar B-body underpinnings and a 68 specific interior; I would be fine with that. Casey , you asked about cross genre appeal; I guess you are referring to the car being used on a TV show like the 67 4 door Impala on Supernatural. The 68 Coronet would have little to no cross genre appeal In my opinion I think the 68 Coronet kit would appeal to model car builders whether or not it has any cross genre appeal. It's been a highly requested kit for many years
  3. Well I guess the originator of this topic is tired of reading about model builders wanting to see a 68 Coronet kit come out again. If we don't let the kit manufactures know about model car subjects we would like to see come out , yes things will not happen. I think we as builders have a voice. The longer and louder we talk they will listen. I too would like to see a kit of the 68 Coronet come out. I beleive other builders see that too. Different versions of this kit can be done. A stock version, Dick Landy drag version, even a #99 Paul Goldsmith Nascar version. A kit like this would sell very well. Recently, Round 2 has been opening up the vaults to see what is feasible to release. The is a subject that if produced would sell well. Round 2 has even gone into uncharted waters to do all new tooling for the 1967 4 door Supernatural Impala. That 4 door is all new tooling. Those that say Round 2 will not invest money for new tooling, need to think again. The same thing can be done with an all new kit of the 68 Coronet, potentally giving them good return on investment. So, where do we go from here? It takes all of us to contact the product developement people at Round 2, Revell, even Moebius and tell them. If we keep contacting them telling them what we want to see then, maybe it will happen. That year Coronet is the only one that has not been re-done yet. Now is the time for the kit manufactures to seriously look into this subject matter.
  4. Lindberg 64 Dodge kit. (blue car with dog dishes pictured) MPC 1969 Firebird/Trans Am kit.
  5. Do you need to sign up as a customer to buy from their product line up or can you just fill out the section that asks for your email address to sign up for great offers? Thanks.
  6. I gather they only got reponses from those that might have built a model here and there during their lives. Would have been interesting to see comments on that review from those that live and breathe the hobby like we see here on this message board.
  7. This is the 68/69 Mercury Montego coupe body.
  8. Interesting article. We should keep this as a sticky in the tips and tutorials section.
  9. Does anyone know if any of the resin casters do a 68-69 Mercury Montego?
  10. Tom Geiger said: "This is gonna be fun watching people go crazy until Round 2 announces what they actually are gonna do! " I agree. It's funny to see people speculating on what might happen. For all we know, Round 2 might come out and announce they are doing a 68 Coronet station wagon.
  11. How well is the the altered wheel base Plymouth kit selling? Are the distributers seeing constant orders on these? Is there alot of people buying the kit?
  12. MR Mopar "two Big rigs sounds good ..... to bad Jamie did not say what they are ....... come on Kenworth mixer ? could we get that 68' coronet r/t ?" I was the on the blog for the whole hour. Numerous times I posted about the 68 Coronet R/T; stating it's a very requested kit, which was supposed to be a released back in 2008.
  13. Hey guys. The the Round 2 blog is on. Lets all be heard.
  14. You will need to sign up for a yout tube account if you want to reply. Is that right?
  15. I agree about not liking the MIB movie car. I just like the stock 68 and 69 Coronet R/T. I would be happy to have that model without the MIB parts.
  16. I have always had good results with Duplicolor primers. I have never experienced it bring too hot for plastics. I don't use heavy coats. Duplicolor is all I use. Was just at the autoparts store; available is the sandable primers; which I use, primer surfacer's and primer sealers . This is at Advanced Auto.
  17. Snake 45 "But it still won't happen." Never say never. Who knows what will happen.
  18. I whole heartedly agree on the Coke themed 68 Coronet. I wouldn't mind; I'd be happy to see it come out with Coca Cola decals and marked box. Would be a very successful addition to some of the other models coming out with the Coke theme.
  19. wrenchr "Has round 2 made any new kits or even new bodies in the past? From what I can tell they clean up molds/tools and tool some small new parts and reissue the snot out of it Coca Cola and everything else. If they have tooled new kits what are they? Or even an all new body? Don't get me wrong this has allowed me to buy kits I would not have spent the money on old issues in the past but it seems like they are exhausting what they can reissue that has not been touched in a long time. I'm not bashing them just saying. " Yes. Round 2 just did a new tool for a 4 door 67 Chevy Impala, from the Supernatural TV show. They must have spent good money on that. Yes, Round 2 can do new tooling if they wanted to. Not everyone is into 4 doors. I would venture to say that this would tailor to a very limited market. We'll have to see how well it sells as time goes on. If they can do this Round 2 surely can dig into their vaults and resurrect kits that have never been re-released. IE: 71 Dodge Demon, 68 Dodge Feverbee, Superhemi, etc.
  20. Well, if they are doing a blog on youtube here is chance for us to be heard. We all need to get on the blog and request they do a 68 Coronet R/T kit. Maybe they can do a stock version with drag racing parts. Opportunities come and go. This one's coming to us. Being a very requested kit, there is a market for it. Too much of the same subject keeps getting released over and over, with the only thing different is the box art. Let's hope Round 2 listens and proceeds with developement on this.
  21. What is a good tape that can be used when doing two toned paint jobs? Hobby Lobby have something that works well? Thanks.
  22. Now that we have gotten the different versions of the 65 Plymouth , even an altered wheelbase version, what would be the next Mopar model down the road from Moebius?
  23. From a previous post: "No, they are not. They never were, either. PlastiKote was the go-to primer for over 20 years specifically because it was different from anything else available...not as hot as Duplicolor, but just as good a barrier, and easy-sanding." I've used both products for many years, the statement that one is hotter than the other. Not true. I do agree with you that both are a good barrier and sand easily.
  24. Duplicolor and Plasticote are the same product. Lot of places have dropped the Plasticote line and have Duplicolor. Oreilley's, Advance, Pep Boys, Autozone and Bennett have the Duplicolor line. Duplicolor has a sandable primer and it's very good. A lacquer based primer so you can put any paint on top of it.
  25. Just wanted to read other's opinions on this. You see that built-up model on the bay, but it's missing chrome parts that Modelhaus only made. Does that make you think twice about buying that built-up?
