  1. DDA are doing some of the Mad Max models next year and I assume like all previous release's the diecast versions will be released first then 6-8 months later the plastic kits usually follow.
  2. Just completed building the LJ kit. Changed the wheels which are from the LC GTR kit, which have centre cap decals from the HJ Sandman Panel van kits. Lowered the stance 3mm at the front and 1.5 mm in the rear 3D printed some side mirrors. Scribed the door lines and around the window trim. Removed the badge backing from the grill, opened the vents in the front fenders and replaced twin exhaust tips to a single pipe. Other than those features, what you see is how it builds up oob.
  3. Some more pictures of the LJ Torana.
  4. Thanks Mathias. ha ha, cheers Bob Thank you, all the window trim and trim on the trunk/boot is Bare Metal Foil, everything else is Alclad chrome. I always pre scribe window trim at the body prep stage. Its a tedious time consuming task. But makes it so much easier to trim the foil and get much cleaner edges.
  5. Completed the LJ Torana.
  6. Thanks for the comments Bob and David. Decided to start another LJ Torana while im waiting for the clear to fully harden on the other. My idea for this build is how I would have liked to have done up my 1:1. Wont be much different, just a stance adjustment with some alloy wheels, smoothed engine bay and triple weber carbs.
  7. LJ Torana Interior parts done, scratch built console and 3D printed seats.
  8. Thanks for always dropping in and commenting Bob. The colour looks a whole lot better with clear coat.
  9. Yeah the boxes are chunky, but thats ok. I have a cabinet dedicated for DDA kits.
  10. Current build is a very special one for me. A kit I have been wishing for many years. Its my holy grail Australian car as I owned one 30 years ago and its the inspiration for this build. Luck was also on my side as an Australian hobby paint supplier Outlaw Paints had a near on match colour.
  11. LC More Information here LJ More information here
  12. Latest kit release's from DDA. LC GTR, single carb inline 6 cylinder. LC Custom, V8. LJ GTR XU-1, triple carb inline 6 cylinder. LJ Custom, V8
  13. Two more DDA Torana's, LC GTR version.
  14. Just started the build, so not much to show at the moment. But when I get a bit further along I will post in my Lead City Customs wip thread. Had another delivery today of DDA LJ Toranas, Custom V8 version and more GTR XU-1's.
  15. Some times a wish it was available as a kit, does become a reality. My holy grail Australian car, is now available as a plastic kit. ?
  16. I thoroughly enjoyed building the XW GT Falcon kit. Really looking forward to all the future release's from DDA Collectibles.
  17. Bit of experimenting/testing. 3D printed a XW/XY chassis floor pan from Altered 3D
  18. Starting to plan out some idea's for a DDA Ford Falcon XY gasser/streetfreak buddy build with @Brockc Figured I would start with wheels and working out the stance, as thats where most of my builds begin. 3D printed some wheel and tyre files from Z Force Model Worx And will be using a Texas 3D Customs engine.
  19. Hey Martin, Thanks for dropping by mate. ? Still have a nice stock pile of TS-14 Black. I finally found a base coat, clear coat system I can get consistent results with. So yeah builds will have different colours now. I still get the Pegasus wire wheels from Model Round Up , currency conversion and shipping is ridiculous, but its a price you have to pay for sourcing a specific product.
  20. Starting to build the XY Ford Falcon GT. 3D printed some wheels, now to start preparing the body for paint.
  21. Test fitting some new wheels and tyres I 3D printed for the XY Ford Falcon GT.
  22. Finished building the XW Ford Falcon GT. So much enjoyment getting to build Australian cars, and im so happy with the end result.
  23. Completed my XW Ford Falcon GT build. More images in my thread.
  24. Wet sanded and polished the body, then painted the bonnet stripes using a Lazy Modeller paint mask and painted the side door window frames. Also got the grill detailed.
