  1. "Set..." is a great piece . It's originally on A Saucerful of Secrets (1968) , which is a gem to its self .
  2. He's the "Alan" whose name was lent to Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast on 'Atom Heart Mother' .
  3. Slang for 'Outhouse' . I only found out about it via the Small Faces Lazy Sunday Afternoon : "I'll sing you song with no words and no tune ; To sing in the khazi while you suss out the moon..."
  4. Likely a khazi to compliment the garage / shop series .
  5. Thanks for posting that , @afx. I wouldn't be all together surprised if the mods (no pun intended) delete the video for "two" obvious reasons ( haha ) . That event is regarded as the very first 'Rave' ( gathering , et al. -- from 'Rave-Up !' ) , and it featured quite a few non-participating celebrities ( The Moody Blues , Yoko Ono --the event where she and Lennon met-- , Lennon , Mc Cartney , etc. ) . The Pink Floyd Sound play Interstellar Overdrive and Nick's Boogie during their performance . ADDENDUM : I got my timelines mixed around . I had a bootleg copy of various Pink Floyd performances from 1965-1968 ; it was peppered with snippets of "Tonight..." and EMI Studios recordings / noodling , in a non seq. format .
  6. I concur ! Total love bugs ! I'm not sure what it is about Red Tabbies ( 98% of which are male ) , but they're the biggest love bugs . Calico and Tortie ( 98% of which are female ) , while not breed-specific , inhabit a real mystique about them . My super girl Molly Anne ( 17.05.2002 - 11.08.2019 ) was a 'Tortie & White' ( Calico , et alia ) . She was a fantastic hunter ! Even though her vision was compromised , she got around just fine . No , she wasn't a lap cat -- but she'd sleep rested-against me . Give a rubdown to Bandit and Ellie May for me .
  7. How many amongst us have watched Tonight Let's All Make Love In London ? It's a documentary featuring The 14 Hour Technicolor Dream [sic] from 1966 .
  8. I love this specific performance ! I saw it eons ago on either VH1 or MTV -- just absolute joy !
  9. My favourite albums , along with a few of my fave songs : - Piper at the Gates of Dawn . Again , sounds best in mono -- I have the 2007 issue ; gave-away the stereo disc to someone . Not a bad piece on the entire album ! - A Saucerful of Secrets . Richard Wright penned two of the best songs on the album : 'Remember A Day' and 'See-Saw' . The last album with Syd Barrett ; his 'swan song' was Jugband Blues . - Ummagumma . I had this on cassette many years ago ; now I have the double-disc . The cassette and the vinyl copies listed A Saucerful of Secrets in its separate movements : "Something Else" (0:00–3:57, slow closely miked cymbal fade-in and echoing organ, slide guitar) "Syncopated Pandemonium" (3:57–7:04, drum tape loop, cymbals, distorted guitars, piano) "Storm Signal" (7:04–8:38, chimes and organ) in the form of a passacaglia over a 16-bar bass line, continuing into the fourth section until the end of the piece "Celestial Voices" (8:38–11:52, bass, organ, mellotron and wordless chorus) - Relics . Composed primarily of singles ; all 1966-1969 songs . Includes my fave Richard Wright piece Paintbox . Has two tracks from Soundtrack to the Film 'More' -- 'Cirrus Minor' is gorgeous ! "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" from Atom Heart Mother is such a fun track ! - Meddle . The song "Seamus" features one of Steve Marriott's ( Small Faces , Humble Pie ) dogs by that name . The same track was later reworked and called "Mademoiselle Nobs" (think : Live at Pompeii ) . Honestly , I'm not much of a fan of their post Wish You Were Here works . Certainly , they're outstanding works ; they're just not my favourites to listen to .
  10. I remember the kids next door had one of those back in the mid-70's . Fairly certain it was purchased at the local Sears ( which had a huge toy department in the basement ) . IIRC , it costed around $15 - $18 back then ( quite a bit back in c.1977 ! ) . I helped them with it --my skills were limited-- by painting parts of it ( I seem to recall painting the lifeboats ) . That kit was huge ! It was on-display until the 1987 Whittier Earthquake had its ways with it (and everything else) .
  11. Their first album , Piper at the Gates of Dawn , sounds its best in mono . I understand that A Saucerful of Secrets was released in a remastered mono mix as well ( have heard some tracks from the mono edit , and they sound so much better than the stereo mixes ) , but I haven't found one yet , at least in C.D. format . When I was 5 years old (1975) , I watched Live at Pompeii on PBS . I was stunned ! All of that volcanic activity and ruin coupled with gorgeous performances of 'A Saucerful of Secrets' and'Echoes' (amongst others) was a delight .
  12. Okay , what am I NOT doing correctly here ? Why isn't the video showing ?? What's changed ??
  13. As one whom prefers their earlier works --the earlier , the better-- I have to plop-down this one from 1965 : Lucy Leave , (81) Lucy Leave - 1965 - YouTube
  14. Thanks much for the refresher , Tim . That's exactly why I'm hoping for the radiator , etc. , in the latest iteration ( I built a copy of the de facto curbside with the engine / trans 'plate' , and Mod-Podge'd the bonnet ( I can always easily remove the hood should I feel compelled to add an engine down the road ). Whatever the outcome , I love this kit ; this new direction which Round2 is heading . Thanks again for the comparison photo and link to your review .
  15. I should have specified that I was referring to the original , hole-through-the-block I-6 . Given , too , that the existing chassis plate has everything moulded-in , a newly-created --or even a modified original-- Six / 'Glide combo would be the likely candidate . Even if Round2 et al. decides to include the original hole-in-block engine , I'm okay with that , too . One can always fill-in the hole with plastic , sprue , etc. , or even kitbash with the 1966 Nova SS / Pro Street ( which has already been done ) . I'm planning on getting one or two anyhow . If I'm ambitious enough , I'll modify this version --- we'll see how the pending Moebius Chevy II stacks . Perhaps it'll provide a better basis for kitbashing ?
  16. It would seem ridiculous for Round2 to employ the original I-6 after they revised the engine compartment ( yes , indeed the entire body ) and the chassis ; the latter having instructions to "cut here" if one is going to use the promo-style engine / trans 'plate' . I'm hoping that Round2 will include a radiator ,battery , and brake master with this latest offering .
  17. Too bad you guys missed the bikes checking in, oh MAN what a sight! Husquavarnas, Yamahas, DMZs... Kawasakis!
  18. What's with that line of twenties and that sole c-note ? Was there a backroom bird fight or something ?
  19. Thanks for the new-to-me , additional info . I knew that there was a connection between Roth et al. , but I'd obviously forgotten about Newton ( I recall his signature on numerous iron-on and other artwork ) .
  20. Lettuce hope that the tyres are new castings . Those old tyres from the originals are pretty yucky -- second only to AMT's Rallye GT 'snow tyres' from the 70's-80's !
  21. Another great resto ! Is it just me , or is there no primer / base between the yellow plastic and the blue paint ? If that's the case , then the O.B. ostensibly did a good job of blue-over-yellow (thin areas notwithstanding ) . Thank God you painted the steering wheel centre ! That silver was driving me crazy ! I miss those Monogram Good Year Big-N-Littles tyres from some of their 80's kits . I used so many of them for Monogram Challenger T/A builds back then !
  22. That iron-on brings back some great memories ! Isn't that a Roach design ?
  23. Absolutely ! When was the MPC-labelled 'Cuda last released ? 1984 or so ? I remember it having a Torqueflite as per the 1970-1974 annuals -- don't recall if a Lenco was an option .
  24. For $ 72 , it'd better NOT be .
  25. I , for one , would love to see the 1976 Caprice re-released ( Coca ~ Cola machine or two for that kit's trailer ? Why not ! ) , as I missed it the last go'round . 1971 Road Runner... Please ! Throw-in the 1972 bonnet , bumpers , and lights ; decals for both years , too . 1972 Ventura would be neat . The body and its separate front clip have been subject to jeers for a long time -- fiddly fenders and 'questionable' body proportions , esp. with age ( i.e. , the 1972 SS Nova which was borne-out of the Ventura II tooling ) . The 1978-1980 Monte would be sweet . I have the Class Act iteration of the Monte from , what , 8 years ago ? Many would love to see it backdated to the (coveted) Wheeler Dealer version ( i.e. , single headlamp fascia ) . I'm good with either . Lastly , the Super Charger : That was the last 1973-1974 Charger in 1/25 scale , and it was last available over 30 years ago ( closer to 40 years , truly ) .
