  1. That's his latest shipment from Model Roundup . I believe that Round2 already made a video of their 3rd quarter releases back in June or July .
  2. "Is it safe ?"
  3. Thanks much for posting those pics ! I love the colour combination you've chosen , too ! Does the body have all of the stock emblems ? IIRC , this kit's listed as a "1969" , but the box art exhibits a 1970-1972 .
  4. I realise that the late Dusty Hill wasn't part of the Moving Sidewalks ( Billy Gibbons and company ) , but this psychedelic sound --exclusive to Texas ; think 13th Floor Elevators --set the tone for ZZ's early sound (really , their career) . 5. That would be great !
  6. It would appear as though Hermes was having a bad day ( perhaps a labour dispute ?) when 'e twoth travelling with this package .
  7. Still waiting on some photos of the contents of the 1/32 scale Nova...
  8. Thanks much for sharing that . What are decals "1" and "2" supposed to represent ? They appear to be the 1972 & later "universal" side marker lamps -- what do the instructions call for ? Now , why in the deuce didn't that decals sheet find its way into the U.S. market kit ????
  9. Would like to see photos of the kits' contents , please .
  10. Let's not forget the gorgeous Jacqueline Bisset as Frank Bullitt's girlfriend !
  11. Mislabelled -- that's the generator .
  12. While I haven't applied them yes , I did purchase one of those decal sets for my MPC 1978 Chevy Pickup ( two wheel drive version ) . I'm interested in the 'wood' for the bed ; the side markers ; and the 'Scottsdale' emblem decals . Just eyeballing the decals and the MPC parts , it appears as though the Revellogram decals will work perfectly .
  13. Quite a nice WK41U8A there ! I can just hear that 850cfm ThermoQuad's secondaries opening-wide , fighting to suck that bonnet into that last-of-the-440-cube engine ! And , that IT's 55 sticker brings back some memories of that dreadful 55 mph speed limit of 1974-1995 . Keep 'em coming ! Work your magick on the 1970 Galaxie police-taxi next (but , keep that BOSS 429 in your parts' bin ) .
  14. I remember when that AMT '53 Corvette was new ( I bought my first copy at the GEMCO in Downey , Ca. , in 1977 -- I was 7 years old ) . Oddly , I don't remember any issues with assembly , even back then ! Blissful ignorance perhaps ? Here's what its instruction sheet looks like : AMT T 310 1953 Corvette | Scale Auto Model Kit Reviews & Reference (proboards.com)
  15. Relisted ? Perhaps the original bid winner backed out of the deal ? MPC 1969 DODGE CHARGER R/T SEALED | eBay
  16. 1975 & later B-bodies have completely different engine compartments than their predecessors' (see images ) . For an accurate boiler room in the 1977-1978 Monaco [ et alia ] , one would have to scratch build the majority of it . Then there's the 'generic' Chrysler big block / 4-speed combo... and the rear axle assembly is incorrect ( the 8.75" diff was dropped after 1974 . The 9.25" --resembles a Dana 44-- rear is the only correct rear for a 1975 & later B , C , M , and R body ( small blocks sometimes employed the 8.25" rear ) . I'm planning to keep the bonnet shut when I get around to building my copy of this kit . TOP : 1975 Coronet ( name was changed to 'Monaco' for 1977 ) with 440 Magnum . BOTTOM : 1977 Monaco with 318 .
  17. Here's a rare gem for y'all : Nissan Turbo Diesel six banger in a Scout II . I'm a big fan of Vice Grip Garage , and this episode exemplifies my fandom : FORGOTTEN International Scout NISSAN TURBO DIESEL - Will it RUN AND DRIVE 600 miles? - YouTube
  18. Haha ! I'm only 51 -- but I do enjoy employing arcane references and nomenclature . The other name -- Tuff-Grip -- was the style of sporty steering wheel offered by Chrysler from late 1970 - 1980 .
  19. Looking GREAT , Gareth @doorsovdoon! You completely nailed that CHP paint scheme , too ; especially around the C pillars and below the backlight ; points on the rear wings / Dutchman panel are spot-on ( though some vehicles are either improperly restored , or there were production variations ; potential CHP shops' painting of the roof post-facto ) . The interior is righteous , too . You even got those black rubber floor covers correct -- an oft overlooked detail . Thankfully Round2 tooled up a correct set of wheels and tyres for this iteration ; same with the pushbars and beacons ( too bad about the incorrect transmission ; should be a Torqueflite automatic ) . But , that's just me being picky . Where did you get that proper tiller ? The kits Tuff-Grip is technically incorrect for a Police model , though certainly within the realm of 'special order' possibility . I have a spare tiller from my parts box ; the one from the MPC Dodge B-Van . If you're so inclined ; the innermost 'square' of the tail lamp lenses is supposed to be amber (see attached photo ) . One of the few U.S. cars to receive the ( in me mind proper ) amber signals . As a side note : the 1978 Monaco / Fury were the last of the big block police cars . The top dog 440 Magnum / Super Commando was rated at 255hp with California Emissions -- which was darned good for the so-called 'Malaise Era' . Two years later , the St. Regis was hampered with a dog of an engine : 318 four barrel with a whopping 120hp ! The killer 360 four barrel wasn't available in California -- the 318 "powered" St. Regis wouldn't even get up to 100 mph !
  20. Thanks for clarifying that for me .
  21. I'm not up on that long acronym -- whatever does it translate to ?
  22. I can't wait to see how this bad boy turns out , Mike ! The paint choice sounds GREAT .
  23. Your vision for this '55 is aces ! Been toying with buying one -- likely the '55 Nomad -- but have relented due to the size of the finished piece . Any ideas for colours / themes ? I know that you'd stated stock tyres and wheels ; just curious about paint scheme . ( I wish that Round2 would update some of the Tri-Fives' components : those 'custom' tyres are rubbish , resembling off-highway models ; and that turbo option smacks of late 1970's poodle ) .
