  1. Hi. Thanks for the reply. Yes, it needs to be Moebius for the AWB car. Thanks
  2. Looking for an AFrame for the Moebius AWB car. Let me know if you need anything.
  3. No worries, I appreciate your input. I’m just hoping that the decals don’t give me a problem. I’ve never applied decals this large. I watched some videos on the subject, and Luka Cee has an informative video, in several parts, on building these cars. He suggested Tamiya Mark Fit Strong, and it made the decals lay down really nice. I usually use Micro Set/Sol, but I grabbed a bottle of the Tamiya.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I actually do have some of those from Futurattraction. I just figured I’d toss a harness in there for some minor detail. Not going all out on the build. My brother in law thinks it looks great so far. I knew he’d be cool with what I was doing with it. Got the interior bars, and bumpers done, and almost ready to move onto the body.
  5. I haven’t had a Facebook account for several years now. I really do miss some of the model groups on there, but that’s about it. IMO, a lot of people have a real problem with the social media thing. Especially when someone has a different opinion as they do. It’s funny to think that in this day and age, someone can argue with someone that lives on the other side of the country, that they don’t even personally know. Doesn’t make any sense to me. I’ve been thinking for a while now, that the smart phone and social media was brought about too quickly for some folks, and they just don’t have the maturity to handle it all.
  6. Also, can this model be completed so the body is removable? Seems like a shame to cover up all the detail this kit has.
  7. First time posting in the nascar WIP, as I’ve only built one nascar car, and that was years ago. I built a Fireball Robert’s 64 Galaxie. My brother in law is a big nascar fan, and he bought this kit he wanted me to build for him. Kyle Larson 2024 Camaro. This kit is super cool. I’m really having fun building it, as it is a change of pace for me as well. I’m enjoying it so much, that I bought one for myself. Except it’s the 2022 car, and it was super cheap on eBay. I also bought the jig from Jim at Salvinos, as I plan on building more. Seems the way to go, instead of messing with Pennies for the ride height. These pics are pretty much where I’m at now. I’d like to get some input from the other nascar builders out there. Let me know if there are any surprises ahead of me. The decals look like they would be a real challenge.
  8. These Moebius AWB cars are pretty fun to build. No problems, as they go together rather well. Just finished the Missile car up last night. The Commandos car was done a few weeks back.Only problem was, I got ahead of myself and forgot the side windows. Pretty much out of the box, except for distributors, wires, and fuel lines. Decals are Fremont. I have the Landy Dodge started, and would also like to do the Strickler Dodge as well. Then if I can scrape a few parts together, I’d like to build the copper box art Plymouth Commando car. Except I need a subframe, and engine, and rear, and then I’ll have the parts to start that one.
  9. I’ve got my N64, Sega Genesis, PS 3 and a Wii all hooked up to a huge Samsung Smart TV in the basement room. I especially love the Sega boxing games, with all the old heavyweights, and N64 Goldeneye. Plus I have a ton of games I purchased that are stored on the Wii. I wish you could still buy them for the Wii.
  10. At our old house, my wife had three regulars that were feral, that she fed at breakfast and dinner. The city had a catch and release program that got the cats spayed, and clipped the ear tip so you knew they were not going to reproduce. I hope it stays that way for you where you live. I feel bad for these little furry critters.
  11. Velociraptor
  12. Very nice and clean build on your Mustang. The stance and colors you chose are perfect. The polishing you did was worth it. I like this kit a lot, even though some people say the dimensions are a bit off. Builds up very nice with no issues at all. I built mine a while back, and after it was finished, I bought another kit.
  13. Hi Ron, No, I haven’t. I should have the Melrose Missile done tomorrow, and then onto the 65 Landy Dodge. I just want to do the Strickler car, and that’s pretty much it on these for now. I have to get a next gen nascar build done for my brother in law. Hopefully after all that, I can get some old WIPs completed.
  14. Fantastic job on your AWB! I think the decals, and color, look just right. These cars are pretty cool, and I’m involved with building a couple of them right now myself. Great looking S/S as well. Can’t have too many 60s era drag cars.
  15. I’ve never had any problems with handling the parts after they dry thoroughly. I’d give em 24 hrs. Nothing like the Molotow ink.
  16. Yes, this I like. Thank you for sharing your idea.
  17. Nice job on those breathers and fuel pump. I think Speed City Resin has breathers similar to those. I actually think I have them that came with Ford cammer valve covers. Your came out looking fine, and cost nothing.
  18. Thanks Bill. I was at the bench just for a little bit today, to paint the black on the Landy car. Had to sand a bit of debris out of the trunk, and shoot it again. Hope you can get started on yours soon. After these I just would like to do the Strickler Dodge, and possibly the Golden Commandos copper car like the box art.
  19. https://www.culturehustleusa.com/products/mirror Has anyone used this stuff? I read that it’s very durable, and can be handled when dry. Pretty expensive though.
  20. I know the decals are different in some of the ROG kits. I bought a used 68 Chevelle kit on eBay, so I can get the correct color SS stripes I needed for a WIP. Now you have me thinking… I’ll have to look to see if this particular kit has anything else different.
  21. Just used the last of the Alclad spray lacquer, so I ordered a can of the Revell spray. I suppose it’s a good thing to buy with Christmas money. One thing with the Alclad spray can, is the bottom gets beat up pretty good from shaking it. I’m afraid it might explode. So I’m gonna try the Revell spray now. I’m sure I’ll be happy with it, after reading what everyone says about it. I suppose when you figure in a gloss black under the Alclad, the Revell really isn’t too much more expensive. I don’t mind spending a little more on a quality product.
  22. These are paper belts from Pro Tech colored with a Sharpie. Just a tiny dab of Bob Smith CA glue is what works for me.
  23. I also masked up and painted the blue and pinstripes on the Melrose Missile car. After foiling and decals, this one can be assembled. The interior and chassis are pretty much finished now.
  24. Been down with a cold, but I finally got some silver on the Landy car.
  25. I’ve had great results with Vallejo Air. The only reason I use the Air over their regular acrylics, is the Air is thinned as I don’t need to add water. I pretty much stay away from the Tamiya acrylic in the jars, for the most part. I understand that these are not really meant to be brushed on anyway, but I have had good results adding a retarder to the Tamiya jar paints.
