  1. Bravo! Looks like it could drive away. Great subject.
  2. You might be right. Rarely find these Revells done stock, that's why I like it. Came out real well Gary.
  3. Wow, everything looks, overall, so good it almost looks like a 3D illustration. Definitely something to be proud of and worth the push to finish it.
  4. Johan '70 Toronado. The glue was unbelievably bombed, but no paint. At the time (early 90's) the '70 Caddy Eldorado was still available so it donated the chassis, engine, rims and a modified seat.
  5. Bill is right about getting what you pay for. For that reason I went to Fotki and am paying $40/yr. for my plan. I would have been all on board to do the same at PBucket, if that's what they requested. But it wasn't an option at the time. The option was $400 or beat it. So I went to the open arms of Fotki who smartly exploited PBs foolishness by sending out a welcome to all pissed off PB users. Though I still have existing pics on PB it's tiresome to hear now, a couple years later, that I'm suddenly over my limit, when I didn't have that many pics on there to begin with and $40 a month of slow loads, pop ups, failed links still isn't an option. That bridge has burned and they did me a favor.
  6. Excellent collection. The Nomad is great and I'm sure was a challenge.
  7. Neat. Glad to see one of these built up. I haven't seen how they actually come out.
  8. Wow. Some very sophisticated choices my good man.
  9. I'm not sure I've ever seen a built one. Truly a unique model and you did a great job on it.
  10. Whatever Edmonton and Saskatoon gets, Fargo gets. My heated seat burned out and the PT Cruiser gets obstinate colder than -15F. Not looking forward to the continuing drop in temps.
  11. I think there are, but officials know all the tricks and know where to look. Another really cool racer Bruce. I love how you bring out all of what the original kit has to offer.
  12. Sad. One of the last of the model building celebrities. https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2012/02/23/rush-drummers-models
  13. Sure wish I could be part of this, Art. It's times like these I regret living at the geographical center of the North American continent where it's a thousand miles in any direction to see a coast.
  14. I was 13-years in radio and television where I got high marks from management for being able to work with big egos in a big ego business. Behind their eccentricities are valuable ideas and if you give eccentric people the room to be big and odd, then you get some profitable products that we all get to benefit from. Of course, you also get some very bad ideas with pushy demands, but that's just part of the landscape and as long as you give them the room to be themselves, everyone is happy... sometimes annoyed, but happy. Personally, I just really like alternative thinkers. They energize me because I'm too conservative to inspire myself. I don't have to agree with them, I just have to understand them.
  15. Great work on a great collection. I envy you.
  16. If I wanted to own one, it would look a lot like this. Beautiful model.
  17. Beautiful work on a fussy kit and you exposed all the details that make this kit challenging as well as rewarding. My brother is a writer and was in Indonesia doing an article for Islands Magazine about the recovery of this P-61 when this photo was taken around 1990. Ironically, it was restored in Pennsylvania, just a few miles from where he lives. (Just my personal connection to the Black Widow). http://www.maam.org/p61/p61_recovery.htm
  18. On a side note, I'd really, really, REALLY like to see someone do this 67 Corvette from Steve McQueen's "The Hunter." This was my first choice, but it was going to be too much legwork for me to round up the Revellogram 67 vette and five slot mags. Anyone? Anyone?
  19. I think I'll be joining with Patrick Swayze's '65 Riviera from "Road House." Only it won't be running a "4BRL." I think instead it'll carry this nasty LS I've had clunking around for a while. I've got to hand it to Round 2, they've really cleaned up these old kits. Parting lines are minimal and fit is very good. So after an evening of clean up, I started dry fitting. It all fit so well I just kept going until all the major parts were in place. Of course, the devil is in the details though, right?
  20. I was going to say my favorite version is Junior Brown's treatment until, to my surprise, he hasn't covered that one. Hard to believe.
  21. Yes, they somehow stumbled upon it. I lost a buck on the game at work. Not that I'm not a Vikes fan, but lets face it, Vikes + playoff, usually = Heimlich. I'm rootin' for them, but they still don't look like a Superbowl team.
  22. It's all there, variety, quality, technique, etc. Well done sir.
  23. I owned a car identical to this for 13-years, 1983 Nissan 200SX. Dangerous because it was very peppy and REALLY dicey on ice, which on the northern plains is a liability; light weight, rear wheel drive, 5spd and lots of spunk. I bought it for $400 from a work mate who rolled it 1-1/2 time in deep snow. Lots of bent metal but no broken windows. I bought it unfixed and not running, then drove it 13 years. Though I understood how squirrelly it was, it still almost got me in trouble on several occasions. Also still probably my favorite.
  24. Incredible.
