  1. It was pointed out to me when I built the '23 Bell Telephone Hack, the tires have directional tread. Maybe want to give them a check. Sure like what I'm seeing so far. The rims look great, I know they can be tedious to detail.
  2. Jeepers, you have a careful eye. Really nice. I'll bet that would've really popped if you used charcoal.
  3. Holy smokes Dave, that's stunning.
  4. Yeah, that's pretty sexy. I want one.
  5. Like I say about most publicly scathed cars, anything different is good. It all looks believable so the always difficult Lady Esmerelda Nesbitt gives it a...
  6. Four if you funkify it.
  7. Ridley Scott's Blade Runner is easily one of my top two most watched movies ever, so when the new one came out it was a must see. That said, I don't totally disagree with anything you said. There are many scenes that would not have been weakened by cutting out the long dramatic pauses when the audience already knows what will be revealed. Half hour at least. Same with characters who speak in monologues of long, poetic riddles, rather than just make their point. The music is too loud, not melodic and as my fiancee said, "annoying." When Vangelis scored the original Blade Runner soundtrack, he could balance the drear with hope, rather than just beat you over the head with pounding, droning, audio melodrama as this composer did. I will stray from you about movie's aesthetics. Dreary, yes, but certain to be nominated best art direction. One of my criticisms is the plot gets garbled in places and gets hard to follow. Though Ridley Scott was the executive producer, I think it could have benefiting by him directing.
  8. For purely selfish reasons, I like this one. It's unlikely I'll be starting any new projects next year, but this might align with one I've been kicking around.
  9. I don't disagree at all, I have my own old cans I've had success with. I had one old can of such a great color and coverage I used it all up on several projects. However I can think of another clearance can I had that spat like a hobo. True enough. My most common "buyer beware" issue with the clearance cans is half the time the colors have not accurately matched the cap... a mix up? I have a can with a lovely teal cap but the paint is a lovely rich blue. I still love the color and have used it for two projects, it's just not what was advertised. But for a buck a can, I'm willing to roll the dice and see what the prize inside is.
  10. Adding to what's already been said, I often find Duplicolor on clearance shelves. One reason they are there is because they're getting too old, propellant pressure is diminished and paint is getting heavy.
  11. Boy that looks nice. I've always preferred 72s over 71s. The taillights make a difference. Beautiful work.
  12. Glad to have you back Tim. I'm sure you'll be a tough competitor.
  13. Here's a pic I took of it from my office a few years ago when it visited here.
  14. That chameleon color is crazy Riley. Every picture the car looks a different color. Nice work and congrats on completing. A reminder to you and everyone else who finishes that you will still need to post your pics to the Finished Build thread when it gets posted. Voters will be sent to that thread to select their favorite entry.
  15. Yup, glass. I'd like to section about a quarter inch off this kit all the way around the belt line. I'll bet that would be sassy.
  16. Wow, now that's a hot rod. Glad you got the pics figured out, I'd hated to have missed the cool stuff. Gonna have treads?
  17. Not to confuse the subject, but I highly recommend this stuff if you can get it (might have to order online). Quik Aluminum, not be be confused with any other "Quik" epoxies. The 2-part epoxy kneeds together like clay, is easy to work and sculpt with for about 5-minutes and once hard it sands almost exactly like Bondo 2-part putty and feathers well. Water on your finger will smooth it. Wear gloves and avoid the aluminum dust when sanding.
  18. Posed wheels. Nice touch. Overall....
  19. If I see your name Under Glass, I stop to look. Always worth checking out and this is no exception.
  20. On the short term, sounds like a stock play.
  21. As an insufferable saver and artist, I save mine so I can make some great borg-ish sprue cube. (sample only, not mine)
