  1. Adding to what's already been said, I often find Duplicolor on clearance shelves. One reason they are there is because they're getting too old, propellant pressure is diminished and paint is getting heavy.
  2. Boy that looks nice. I've always preferred 72s over 71s. The taillights make a difference. Beautiful work.
  3. Glad to have you back Tim. I'm sure you'll be a tough competitor.
  4. Here's a pic I took of it from my office a few years ago when it visited here.
  5. That chameleon color is crazy Riley. Every picture the car looks a different color. Nice work and congrats on completing. A reminder to you and everyone else who finishes that you will still need to post your pics to the Finished Build thread when it gets posted. Voters will be sent to that thread to select their favorite entry.
  6. Yup, glass. I'd like to section about a quarter inch off this kit all the way around the belt line. I'll bet that would be sassy.
  7. Wow, now that's a hot rod. Glad you got the pics figured out, I'd hated to have missed the cool stuff. Gonna have treads?
  8. Not to confuse the subject, but I highly recommend this stuff if you can get it (might have to order online). Quik Aluminum, not be be confused with any other "Quik" epoxies. The 2-part epoxy kneeds together like clay, is easy to work and sculpt with for about 5-minutes and once hard it sands almost exactly like Bondo 2-part putty and feathers well. Water on your finger will smooth it. Wear gloves and avoid the aluminum dust when sanding.
  9. Posed wheels. Nice touch. Overall....
  10. If I see your name Under Glass, I stop to look. Always worth checking out and this is no exception.
  11. On the short term, sounds like a stock play.
  12. As an insufferable saver and artist, I save mine so I can make some great borg-ish sprue cube. (sample only, not mine)
  13. I don't know what dazzles me more, your elite craftsmanship or your eyesight.
  14. Didn't stop John Teresi
  15. This is probably a good opportunity to remind everyone that there are 8-weeks left till we ring the time bell on this build session. For those of you, like me, who take summers off, it might be time to head back to the bench. Still welcoming newcomers who can get 'er done in two months.
  16. Heck yeah, all the best! Positive thoughts.
  17. Whoa. That is some seriously marketable art. The texture, contrast, color is impeccable. Really the highest quality.
  18. Welcome Sebastian. Beautiful looking model.
  19. What a nice, clean, balanced piece. Well done.
  20. It's great to see so many classic cars on screen. One petty critique I have with period films like this is that, with a couple of exceptions, all the cars look like they've been brought in from the local car club. That is, most of the cars, as far as they eye can see, look brand spanking new regardless of age. My memory from that era is that there were a lot of shoddy and dinged up cars. I realize producers have to take what they can get, but I know if they tried a little harder they could find more dull sedans and unpopular cars that would be more period correct. Picky, I know, but as much as I like to see the cars, I'm almost distracted by the shine. Edit: The weathered patina of the '63 Chevy is exactly the look I would want to see. Unfortunately, considering the year, that would be the one car that should look brand spankin' new.
