  1. I like it.
  2. Just a risky gag Bill. But since you know I'm never (but ever) one of those pot stirrers I knew you'd give me the benefit of the doubt. I considered that you were offering a brilliantly wry joke. That you, one of the most esteemed members here and one of the most flawless in his shared knowledge, would offer an irk that sounds so much like the DK Effect generalizing that a DK Effect person would do. It's because it came from you specifically that made it so funny, perhaps knowing the learning-prone types would look up the DK Effect was the perfect punch line. It was still a pretty good post Bill. But go with me on this, it's a lot funnier as a very sophisticated joke.
  3. Jeez Bill, you made me look something up. Somebody stop imposing all this learning!
  4. Whoa, you've really done something significant here. Looks good, your mom will love it.
  5. Hmm. Not the worst Palmer kit I've ever seen. Especially in that scale. My very first car model ever, back in about 2nd grade was the Palmer 1/32 Mustang convertible. Even at that age it was a big disappointment, but so were my skills so they suited each other. The nice work you did on this could start changing people's opinions about Palmers .
  6. You always do very interesting projects. I like it.
  7. Fantastic! Really! And on a gold background. You thought of everything. What's not to like?
  8. I looked at this a long time, it has my attention. Nice work.
  9. You're partially right. My list does not include the many projects over the years I've started and walked away from. I consider my "in progress" projects the "A" list of things that keep coming back to the bench now and then or are currently on the bench.
  10. Projects I consider 40% to 90% done... 11. My GF and I are locationally obligated to watch all episodes of all the series. I pointed out to her it was within character that Ray Stussy drives an old Corvette, but the least popular version. You could add a Revell Hummer H2 and have yourself a little scene diorama.
  12. I can see that. I get it. Neat idea and Citation looks as good as any.
  13. But your half-builts are as interesting as anything on this forum. I'd settle for a recap roundup.
  14. Glad you're posting this. I'm learning something. I like what you've done.
  15. This was the one year I didn't bring my camera. I forgot it after I left the house, then remembered, just didn't want to go back for it.
  16. Hard to believe they not only flew but had a long, valiant service career. Yours looks very good.
  17. I can tell by the pilot figures and separation line on the tail that it's the same kit I built as a kid. Yours looks way better. I loaded the nose with clay because I was too leary of it being tail heavy. Nice work.
  18. That Olds is getting to look scary tough Jeremy, keep 'er going.
  19. Growing up, auto racing, especially Indy racing, was a bit of a blood sport. I personally knew of no women who wanted to see men take their lives into their own hands for what they deemed a foolish risk. I think the explosion of NASCAR viewership and to some extent Indy racing among families and women is because they could watch knowing they're not likely to see anyone die or get seriously hurt.
  20. That's fantastic! The way you lit and shot it makes it look like a movie set. Very cleanly done.
  21. Our LHS owner complains of people coming in with printed internet pages in hand, wanting to see an item they are interested in ordering online. That galls him more than anything, knowing he's giving them his time and expertise to the benefit of an anonymous web seller. He politely tells them it's all right there on the box and helps someone else.
