    Thanks for all the input & encouragement. I've set this kit aside & am working on another kit. Hopefully with a "brake" I'll take it back out again & work on it with a fresh attitude.

    Then the only kit I know of is the Toyota TS050 Hybrid. Depending on the year, it raced in LMP1-H (2016) or LMP1 (2017-2020). Can be built as either the #7 or #8 car.

    Tamiya makes a couple of Le Mans cars. They make a 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT3 and a 2019 Toyota TS050, which is the predecessor to the current GR010. Revell makes the 2015 Corvette C7.R (which can be updated to the 2016-2019) & the 2017 Ford GT, both ow which raced in GTLM in IMSA & WEC.

    Let me calm down a bit. I've only been trying for two days to get the rear part of the car on. I've tried model glue, super glue, epoxy. Nothing works. I'm about ready to take a lighter to it & melt the plastic together! ?

    Well, that's a bummer. Guess I just won't have a 917K in my collection as I've basically given up on this kit. The lack of an engine doesn't bother me, but for the life of me I cannot get the body on the chassis. It's beyond frustrating. No matter what I do, it will NOT stay together. It's about to get binned.

    Does anyone know if Tamiya makes a Porsche 917K? I really like this car. I am currently building the Revell/Fujimi kit, and I am finding myself highly disappointed with the quality of the kit. Not what I expected from Revell.
