Didn't Peterbilt also offer them in the 352H? I'm pretty sure I've heard of them in Kenworth W900s as well, but I'm not sure about the K100. Might be too short.
I'm pretty sure that both the W900 & K100 Aerodynes in 1976 had the tandem torsion bar suspension as an option. So, on that note, both of my Bicentennial Kenworths will have the tandem torsion bar suspension. Have to make a matched set, ya know.
That looks really nice, Ray. Much better that the stock fifth wheel plate. I'm glad I could inspire someone! I have another one of these kits in the stash that will be made into one of the Bicentennial W900s, so now you've inspired me to try this. Between this & replacing the 8-bag suspension with the tandem torsion bar suspension it should be an interesting build.
Thanks, guys. The steerable front axle on the GMC is a kit modified part. Didn't come out quite as nice as I'd hoped, but it's ok. There's too much "slop" in the wheels.
