  1. Wonderful project! Gotta love ❤️ those projects that take on a life of their own!
  2. Set up a search agent on eBay. You’ll get an email whenever one gets listed. Eventually the right combination of car and price will come along.
  3. Interesting! I haven’t seen anything Revell. All Round 2 in this season
  4. Thanks Joe! I bought a six pack of 64 Plymouths on sale a while back for slant sixes for my Valiants and chassis for my old Johans. I have a 60 Desoto as my first victim too!
  5. Very cool! And you even included a fire extinguisher. I enjoyed watching your thread!
  6. Spent a little time at the bench this weekend.. played a bit with the putty on the 57 Ford, still trying to blend in the roof and tailgate.
  7. Thanks! That’s what I was hoping!
  8. kinda sorta on the road! I drove to the beer ? store and thought this made for a cool case of beer.
  9. Friday I stopped back at Ollie’s and got 3 more 62 TBirds... I own rebuilders of all the year ‘birds of that era. What years would this 1962 chassis be proper for?
  10. Wishful thinking! We’d all gobble up a 69 Chevy kit!
  11. Agreed! Acme stepped up to provide everyone with something this year! There are always issues with the maiden voyage of anything. I know the crew and these are good people who want to do the right thing. Note that the hosting and voting was on Kalmbach’s site. They may have been in charge of watching the vote and posting the winners. I do know that when I’ve run polls (at NNL East we let our readers pick next years web theme one year) I could see the IP and location of all the votes. The software disallowed multiple votes. In the plus column there was a ton of participation!
  12. Makes funky offspring!
  13. Whoa! That is way too cool ?! I’d love to see the Dobberton J2000 reissued again! A lot of guys build with that chassis. I’d like to blend the body with the Chevy Cavalier kit for a stock one to sit next to my Cavalier!
  14. Stamp... frickin spellcheck!
  15. No tongue ? kissing !
  16. Ha! I love standing back incognito and listening to viewer comments!
  17. Believe me! I screwed up more than once and masked off / repainted single panels. If I hadn’t, that would be the first thing I’d see every time I looked at the model. Today I don’t even remember which panels they were. Remember- it’s not how you screwed it up, it’s how you recover! ?
  18. Nice build on one of my favorite kits!
  19. Hyundai never was a rinky dink little company. Before they got into cars they were already one of the largest, if not the largest, industrial company in Korea. They did major construction, ship building and even electronics. Back when my kids were young my eldest always asked if she could have one large gift instead of a bunch of small stuff. One year she wanted a little color TV for her room. That led me to a Black Friday sale at Bradlees at 7am to get her a no name 13” color TV they advertised cheap. As I stood in line I thought I should have one like that for the model room so I got one for myself too and had to hide both until Christmas. The no name brand that was meaningless to us back then? Hyundai! And both TVs performed perfectly.
  20. I’ve enjoyed following along! Since that’s Tamiya paint, try their clear. I’ve had good luck with it VS Duplicolor.
  21. Wonderful story behind the model. A labor of love to finish it for your friend!
  22. What would I do? First I’d go have a beer. Then I’d take a deep breath and repaint the roof.
  23. Ever notice White Castle is decorated in small white bathroom tile? No coincidence!
