Did you these ever hit the market?
i have a resin Traveler that was done in resin by a guy named Guido in South Africa. Cannot remember the company name.
It’s cultural. The Asians build models more than Westerners. I’m not sure the amount of modelers in Europe, but USA is a very small percentage of what it once was. Seems it’s still booming in the East!
The people who complain about this board should be sentenced to 30 days hard time on the Facebook model boards!
The same very basic questions come up daily, things like “do I really need primer?” and paint mishaps like you never saw before! And when people try to help they argue back!
I believe I read on Facebook that he also had some health issues this year. He is a good guy and quality is excellent. I last saw him at Toledo where he hand delivered two kits I ordered and refunded my postage!
Remember Y2K? I had a friend who was living the fantasy that the world would implode over the computers crashing. He had his Mad Max thing going. He was collecting supplies and talking about how he’d make his way in this new sad world.
He would lecture me to no end because I wouldn’t prepare. We eventually broke off contact, so I never knew how he reacted when nothing happened!
Ive thought about him during this whole pandemic. He must be in his glory!
Time marches on and every time an old topic gets revisited, new info comes to light. It’s called crowd sourcing.
Besides, this isn’t a stagnant archive with material locked down, it’s an interactive forum where people want to discuss the topic!
Man! Another bit of our hobby’s past bites the dust!?
Nothing to be guilty about! That’s the way we did it back in the day! As kids we had no responsibility to protect and preserve kits for future generations. Even the kit product managers of the day had no clue anyone would want any of it past the issue year!
