  1. Family of kits? Just love the old Monogram Model A series! I have a few more planned
  2. Very cool! Glad to see it all done!
  3. Right up there with plastic dog poop ?. Why buy it when the real stuff is around for free?
  4. Jeepster not finished, but working on it! Roll me over to next round!
  5. Very nice! I enjoyed following along on this build. And it ends well. A side story- back in the day my father would bring home company cars that were ready for sale. We did buy a few. One time he brought home a Nova hatchback like this, I don’t remember the year of it. What stood out was that the hatch was nearly rusted off the car! It couldn’t have been more than five years old and was a salesman car based in New York City. We didn’t buy that one!
  6. Great work Tim! Glad to see it finished! I didn’t finish the Jeepster in time. I did buy anther can of red paint today. I’m gonna keep on working on the pair of Jeepsters
  7. Happy Birthday! ???
  8. Multiples of the same kit? I did answer this question with the AMT 53 Ford pickup, but I’m three deep in the 50 Ford and still have a few more ideas?
  9. I’m sorry to learn this, I know your mother wasn’t well. My condolences to you and your family.
  10. It’s a personal win to complete a stalled project! Congratulations ???
  11. Yea Tim! Bring it home for the win! And congrats to Joel for the Monte. That was the era of earth tones and you did that nicely! Still plugging on the Jeepster, got wheels on permanently last evening. Still a way to go and probably a few more challenges!
  12. Thanks! You earned a few more! I’ve owned the one without stickers since I was 13.
  13. The Hollingsworth Nomad disappeared and is rumored to be still around restored to stock. There is a replica built recently
  14. Just some VWs.. The Type 3s are cool since we have never seen kits. The Beetle just because I liked the color and paint scheme!
  15. There used to be a running joke that NASCAR builders never realized that they were building the same kit over and over...??
  16. When I crawl around under the bench I never find the part I just lost... I will find one I lost a long time ago and gave up on, and a part I didn’t realize was missing yet!
  17. Here’s the Jeepster chassis from the bottom with four in place, and both drive shafts and exhaust modified and glued in place. Top view with wheels attached this evening. Body is just sitting.. now onward to building the interior!
  18. Come on Ron! You need to be building! At least for your own sanity during these times! Hope to see you soon my friend !
  19. I never heard that one! In the weeks before NNL East I received a load of stuff from vendors but nothing from Ray!
  20. That’s too cool! ?
  21. Yup! Evergreen packs for a buck each? Buy em all.. figure it out later!
  22. After getting the new spray booth operational yesterday, I actually got some work done on the Jeepster. I have swapped in a four cylinder, the base engine for this truck, in place of the kit’s V6. In the end it was more trouble than anticipated. I had modified the chassis by moving the transmission mount earlier, and today’s task was modifying two driveshafts to match up with the four, as well as the exhaust. I was happily surprised that the exhaust matched up pretty well. So now all of that and the engine / transmission are glued in place. At this point it’s ready for wheels to mount and radiator to be placed. I will have to make the hoses. Still a long way to go!
