  1. Sorry to hear that Alan! I have been out since the beginning of this mess. I was supposed to start a new job... not my ideal job.. on Monday. Seems it may be delayed a bit. No word on start date! And yes there is age discrimination! I’m going on 62 and need another 5 years! My best to you!
  2. Great Roger- I love the Foose pickup and have used two so far. One as my 24 Hour Build last year as well as a second under a Datsun pickup. I have a few more fresh kits bought right for future adventures! I am watching your project!
  3. Cool project! I have two of these 1960 pickups staring down at me from a shelf over my workbench. Also have a Modelhaus 1958 cab. So I’m gearing up. I believe one of my 60s will become a step side from the AMT 1953 pickup. And thinking of using that chassis under them.
  4. Very cool 56 and 57, although day and night next to each other!
  5. I took my 2015 Hyundai Elantra for annual state inspection. It was due March, but forgiven until this month due to Coronavirus. Here in Pennsylvania USA, it’s done by private garages and is pretty much open season on motorists since the garage is rewarded with any repairs they can find or fabricate. One year I had a chain store tell me my two week old wipers needed replacing. So now I have a relationship with a local garage that does my work, and they are honest. Any other place would’ve demanded to replace all four brakes and tires., my garage? You have maybe 5000 miles left on them, come in before winter! And what did I see on the road? Sitt g right next to my red Huundai was an exact same twin! I had to click my fob to see which one was mine!
  6. Gee.. if you painted it white you could’ve had a pink car!
  7. I put the Jeepsters aside for a bit because they were driving me crazy! A learned skill, instead of aiming them .at the wall. I may have to finish the in modified version first before the 4 cylinder pickup since I did a lot of mods which bring up questions on how certain things go together. In the meantime I’m working on the Model A boat tail speedster which is making me happy. I need happy right about now!
  8. I know Larry in person for years. He’s a good person and will do his very best!
  9. Assembled a chassis and engine to further along the mockup. There is a wood floor and interior back panel in it too. I also started a workbench thread for this car.
  10. I think you can see the big difference between the body and wheels on this 57 Ford. Both were painted white, body only was clear coated with Testors clear. Model was built 30 years ago, photo taken 10 years ago
  11. Congratulations! We are headed for 40
  12. Wow! One super custom! You surely pulled that off!
  13. Today I assembled chassis and engine to get this up on wheels and to make sure everything fits and works. What you don’t see in these photos is that a wood floor has been fit, as well as some interior panels including rear panel behind the seat. The classic Model A nose sits well and right where it should be!
  14. Man, nothing like a car that was doomed! We had a 1990 Grand Voyager that got hit five times. Nothing our fault and several times when legally parked! Even traded it in with a dented fender just to be done with it!
  15. I don’t believe that will work. Painted rims etc have reacted. Bare Metal Foil actually puts a thin layer of metal between tire and wheel
  16. Sounds like when I disconnected my Serus Radio.. they wouldn’t take no for an answer. Discounted it down to $5 a month and I still said no. Finally the off shore woman said okay it was canceled. Then later that month I saw it billed to my credit card at full price! Had to do it all over again!
  17. It’s always good to see new products, but nothing comes close to Bare Metal Foil !
  18. Cool! Glad to be an inspiration! That’s why we post, to fuel one another. I hear ya! I would like to just finish some simple projects but I get these ideas that haunt me until I solve how to do it. I always believe they’ll be easy until I dig in! With this one I have scratched that itch of “how”, and I’ve already done the remaining work on other cars in this series. Famous last words!
