  1. Thanks for the compliments, gentlemen. Dan, Barring anything unforeseen, good chance. -Mike
  2. That is really unique!
  3. I'm calling this one done. It took a back seat to a few other pressing things over the last month, but it's all buttoned up now. Added standoffs to the insert to level it to the chassis. Assemble it to the interior/chassis unit, and it slips into the body easily. Now just have to get it off to the Master Caster. -MJS
  4. Modelhaus has them, order a few sets before you-know-what. http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?c=4106&p=65589 -MJS
  5. If you look at them not as models, but as folk art of sorts; they could be neat items to hand paint and display in the garden, kitchen windowsill, or possibly in a fish tank next to the little diver guy. -MJS
  6. Thanks, I suppose that certain things you want often require more than the point/click system of ordering that has become the accepted way of adding to your stuff collection.
  7. Ordering info on that site would be nice.
  8. The facial expression of the Jaguar is appropriate.
  9. I love these combo kit bash builds. Rock on! -MJS
  10. AMT '62 Galaxie. We got almost every other year... AMT '61 Starliner. Because the roofline on the other '61 is hard to look at. AMT '67 Galaxie. Ooh. AMT '68 Galaxie. Not very accurate, but has possibilities. MPC '76 Cobra II. Because Jill. MPC '76 Firebird. Because Jim. MPC '76 Pinto wagon. Because who doesn't want to build a light metallic green Squire with whitewalls? MPC '82 Ford EXP. You know you want one. Pick any five.
  11. Outstanding, it just has the right look and feel from every angle. -MJS
  12. Very clean!
  13. It looks to me like it's in the rear overhang and the angle of the C pillar - an easy fix.
  14. Great build, as a phantom, it works! -MJS
  15. As the owner of a 1:1, I think yours is the nicest built example of this kit I've seen. Excellent job. -MJS
  16. It's also in the Scotty Gosson book Show Rod Model Cars, so it's Official. I just got an order from them, things I've needed for some time but never got around to ordering.
  17. Check out Dimestore Dreams toys on ebay. Generic, but lots of varieties. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Toys-Hobbies-/220/i.html?_armrs=1&_from=R40&_nkw=dimestore%20dreams&_fscr=1
  18. Fire Iron was the first show rod I ever built, and I really liked it because at 8 years old, it was the first glue kit that I built by myself that actually came out looking decent. Several more Daniel/Roth show rods came later, then custom vans, (this was the '70s) and finally cars. -MJS
  19. Very impressive and convincing conversion. I really like these types of builds. -MJS
  20. Proper! Isn't it amazing how well AMT captured the dimensions way back then? And those guys probably used slide rules.
