I did not realize that the kit I bought from the guy in CA (on EBAY) was an R & R item. I probably would have passed on it had I known it was an R&R item. I only paid $39 for it and I got it because it was such an unusual car to find in 1/25 scale.
Very nice job Emmanuel, that looks great.
I got one of these kits from a guy named Ron Alexander in California and am having issues getting the interior bucket and chassis to properly fit into the body. A lot of grinding with a Dremel is needed. It is a curbside kit and I'm hoping to be able to finish it soon.
I've never had any problems with Duplicolor clear and I've been using it for years, plus, you get a LOT more in the larger can...... usually enough for 3 or more models depending on how many coats you apply.
Yeah, I'll have to get something done for this too. I came in 11th Place one year and got Honorable Mentions in a couple of others. It's great to see this Contest being revived.
That is looking very good so far Bernard. I'm hoping you have better luck than I did in getting the inner fenders, firewall, interior and chassis assembly up into the body. I'll be watching.
Raphael, that is a fantastic looking diorama. All of the details and weathering are very realistic looking. It is not too dirty looking and also not too clean. You did an excellent job.
I'm sure that you will do your usual bang up job on this Steven. I got one of these in a trade with Forum member Disabled Modeler and it is in my To Do pile.
What irked me today is all the dammm rain..!!! Enough already. Every day for weeks. We can't do anything about the weather but complain...... so I'm complaining.
That is one beautiful T-Bird John, and I love those '59 Dodge hubcaps. They are the "ultimate" spinner hubcap. Watson also put them on his '59 Caddy and his '57 Olds.
I usually take my glasses off when building (I'm nearsighted) but I've been using an Optivisor for over 15 years for fine detail painting and gluing tiny PE parts. I love using it.
