  1. what I find myself doing, is buying a really cool kit, getting it home and then discovering I already have one....or two.
  2. If the rest of the model is as nice as the engine, you'll have one to be proud of.
  3. And we're getting thunder sleet right now. It's supposed to change to freezing rain, then snow tonight. I'm kinda tired of the stuff myself.
  4. I've been waiting for the bus to be released for a long time. I already have the fire truck. Now if I only could find one here in the states.
  5. I just want to be able to finish the ones I've started.
  6. Latest update, got the basic chassis done. The brake drums were made from small wooden toy wheels. Not sure how much detail I am going to add. This may end up being just a basic build.
  7. Sounds like a challenge.... what about it ,Bill? Looks to me like you're up to it...
  8. I built this kit back in the mid 80's, when I was just getting back into the hobby. I never painted it because at the time I was afraid of the red plastic bleeding through. The kit is very basic and was not hard to build, but I think with it being 1/24 scale it looks too big.
  9. Gotta love it, Very creative.
  10. turned a piece on the lathe the shape of the boot and dipped it in liquid electrical tape, they are real rubber boots, I will add clamps once the tie rods are in it, thanks buddy Just one question, where do you get liquid electric tape?
  11. Neat concept, looking forward to more.
  12. I feel like I should say something......its just so unreal how real it looks......I'm once again amazed, at the skill you have. The tough part is trying these techniques for myself. This is actually encouraging me to push myself. Keep up the fantastic work!
  13. Two - feminine hygene products are good for more than their intended use, don't be embarrassed to use what you gotta use!! While on vacation in a friends borrowed condo , I broke the glass soap dish in the shower. Cut the top of my foot open, requiring 7 stitches, there were no bandages, thank god for the ladies "supplies" under the bathroom vanity. Not model related, just wanted to confirm that they work very well.
  14. That's why I never leave one unopened. Got burned by a Ford Snow plow kit with no frame. Now they're opened by the time I get home.
  15. Love the rust and the grime on the engine. Also love the small touches, the cracks in the steering wheel, so true to life. Well done so far, can't wait to see how the body turns out. Paul
  16. This is really cool. Looking forward to more.
  17. I like it alot
