  1. Another fantastic build out of Harry's stable. Well done.
  2. Very nice. The arcade game is a nice touch. Good looking rod, nice job scratch building.
  3. This car doesn't look like anything I've seen that's set in a barn for 40 years. I realize that she's been cleaned up to sell on ebay, but the one thing that bothers me is that the tires aren't checked. Polyglass tires setting in a barn for 40 years don't look that good. She looks more like a well cared for daily driver to me.
  4. Loved the Jag. Would like to know how you did the cobwebs. They are very convincing and realistic looking. I've done 1 1/25 scale junker in a diorama I built and have started on another that would benefit from some well placed cobwebs. Would love to know how you pulled it off. Thanks, Paul
  5. My first try, pm sent. Hope I'm right.
  6. Harry, this things awesome. I really like the top you added, and when finished, I don't think the spokes on the wheels look all that bad.
  7. For me just 2 48 Tucker Torpedo 62 Dodge Lancer wagon,( I had one as a youngster) I know these are too off the wall for anyone to produce in any quantity, but it is my dream.
  8. The amazing thing is that none of these are out of the box builds, yet there are so many. And well done I might add.
  9. Sometimes it's modelers A.D.D.. Most often I tackle something that I don't quite have the skills for yet, and I get frustrated. So I put it away till another day. The oldest one I have is from about 1983. I out the suspension off of the frame, with the idea of scratch building a new front suspension. Someday I will drag it back out. I am determined to finish this one, Some day.....
  10. Ira,...can you build a model straight out of the box? Everything you build is incredibly imaginative, these builds are just loads of fun to watch. So, on with the show....
  11. Harry, I love watching your wip's. The quality of your work and the tips we all learn are truly an inspiration. I personally find the models that you choose to build are unique and a joy to watch the quality of your craftsmanship. And I know that it takes time to photograph and prepare the text that goes along with those photos, to make what you are doing and how you did it, so easy to understand. So from myself a big thank you and well done!
  12. I love the detail you've put into this diorama. I like steam punk, I'm just not very good at it myself. Good lookin' display.
  13. I like how this one's starting. Pullin' up a chair to watch...
  14. I've wondered the same, I would have bought another one to build the project I have in mind. But I'll just redo the one I have since its needs restored anyway.
  15. Nice Unit
  16. I've also got the Land Rover that needs to be redone looking forward to what you might be doing with yours.
  17. Our Lhs here caters to trains, military, and static models They have stayed away from the r/c products, and are doing quite well. I like my LHS, its a place where guys who build a wide genre of models can get togeather swap stories and talk models. Some are into cars\trucks like I am, soma e are into military, some trains And I've personally learned something from all of them. The one thing that worries me is that this is a father son operation. The father is 80 and the son is in his late 40's. He's also single, so has no kids of his own. Someday I expect that the dad will retire completely, and what happens when the son decides to retire? Hobby Lobby and Michaels, the only other two options we have here, just won't cut it. yeh I can shop online, its just not the same.
  18. I.ve seen this video before. It's funny to watch a hundred year old steam tractor out pull the latest version on the market today. But then again there's nothing quite like steam to get the job done. The desiel machines that are made today are just safer, and more convenient to use on the farm. Also a lot faster.
  19. That's.......odd.....?! Why...?
  20. First Monday of a 3 month medical leave due to knee replacement surgery. Not quite up to sitting at the bench yet, maybe next Monday.
  21. So if I had a gas can next to my house would it also be ok for this guy to take .05 cents worth? I think not, thus using a plugin on the outside of ANY building without permission is stealing. And to display such an arrogant attitude about it shows a real lack of concern for other people. This doesn't appear to be a mistake but a pattern of behavior. What the police are doing in this case is the only way that his behavior may be adjusted, if it even can be.
  22. My dad also had one of these, his was blue with the wood grain panel on the side. I love this build and would do one myself if it was available in resin.
