  1. In addition to the beautiful color and paint finish the added interior details add to the realistic look of the interior.
  2. Great looking paint finish and the contrasting wheels. Your diorama helps to bring this model alive.
  3. Sounds like the talking heads on our TV weather reports. They look at computer models and they have at least four to choose from. While this may be better than throwing darts at a dart board it still isn't any more accurate. In the old days past the tv weatherman would use pressure charts and recorded wind directions and weather fronts and their movements. They seemed far more accurate then. I have heard that the inside advises to tv weathermen before going in front of the cameras is to look out the window first.
  4. Saw the sun for the first time in over a week. Been overcast and foggy far too long.
  5. Great looking color and finishes. Like the way you did the wheels and tires.
  6. My condolences on the loss of your friend. The finishes on this build are all great and realistic looking. What a great way to show your appreciation of this person.
  7. Beautiful looking color and finish and the flames look interesting. Great looking engine and chassis. Like the interior finishes.
  8. Beautiful looking color and finish the interior looks great. Like the detailed engine.
  9. The body proportions look like that's the way Buick did it.
  10. Like the body style not often seen in this setting. Last summer we had a little local car show and this guy showed up in his daily driver.
  11. Ya, the BJ auction had some real high end looking cars and trucks, with prices to match. Wonder what someone does in life, legally anyway, that gits them the kind of money being spent here.
  12. If you have it in your budget, you might check out TX3DCUSTOMS.Com for some real good looking Flat Head parts.

    Baja Buggy

Thanks Steve. I made the license plate with an aftermarket decal sheet I bought many years ago. In fact, I didn't have enough letters and numbers left to make a front license plate for this build. I got to meet the couple from STS hear last June at our local Show & Swap Meet. Great people and bought more than my allowance on their decals. There used to be a decal maker that went by the name Acme License plates and was listed on the forum under the After Market section. I have lost track of them but there are others offering just generic numbered plates. Might also check with "craig@scaledconceptsinc.com". I got some peel and stick generic license plates from him some time ago. Like you, I have ben building a few of the cars and trucks that I have owned in the past and you're right about the memories that sometimes remind you of things that happened log ago, hopefully all your memories are good ones, and you should post them here.

    Baja Buggy

They are an inexpensive, relatively speaking, way to have a lot of fun off road and still have something that is usable every day. At the time I lived near areas that had sand dunes along the ocean and some Forest Service Fire Roads that were open during the off-fire season. Now the nearest Off Road Park is a good 2-hour drive and is primarily for four-wheel drive vehicles. This would be a good kit to base a build of your own Bajas and the Texas 3D Customs offers a couple of good body conversion kits to work with.
  15. Beautiful looking build. Like that you were building a model of your personal car. The color and finish look better than OEM.
  16. Like the chopped top option and who ever built this originally seemed to have gotten the grill/hood alignment done correctly.
  17. The Hateful Eight by Quentin Tarantino. We have been talking about watching some old movies that we enjoyed in the past and we can get this for free at our local Library instead of on our cable that offers free movies and pay for view on anything we would want to see. Being a Tarantino film you had better be comfortable with any plot that includes a curtain blood and mayhem plot. This is a western set in the years after the civil war during an approaching blizzard in the mountains. The lead in with the credits will make you want to get a heavy coat on. The actors include Samuel L. Jackson, one of my personal favorites, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, who plays her part very convincingly. Bruce Dern, Walton Coggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth and Michael Madsen. No one makes it out alive, but the under lying plots are interesting to watch unfold. Great acting and the wilderness setting is very believable.
  18. Great original stock look. The paint and interior are both well done. Enjoyed following your build.
  19. Great looking color and stripping matching the interior.
  20. Great looking build. This was a very popular color in its time and remember many Chevelles with this color. The trim on your build is all cleanly done.
  21. I never saw the movie, but your PD car sure looks the part to me. Great paint finish and the grill area that is an issue with the basic kit looks like it should.
  22. About your dilemma with available charging stations. We drove from the Kansas City area to visit my wife's brother and his wife for New Years. Most of the highway was a four-lane divided toll road type of roadway with gas stations and snake shops in the center divider every so often. Only saw two that offered charging stations for EV vehicles. I'm thinking this could take a lot of joy out of a long drive if you're in an EV.
  23. Great looking paint finish.
  24. Opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one. My belly button doesn't like the idea of EV's racing in NASCAR. But I have lost interest in NASCAR for the last couple of decades based on what I felt were unwise changes to the entire racing formats and rules. I'm also not a fan of EV's in general, so depending on your own personal feelings about them, you understand that my opinion is different. I often look in on European Rally Car Racing on You Tube. There are a few EV"S starting to show up there as well. They make a sound like an early science fiction vehicle, more of a wherry sound.
  25. I see what you mean about the body differences between the year models. Many years ago, a friend had what I think was a '48 Plymouth coupe. What I didn't remember was the differences in the fenders. The earlier body style had some charter lines on both front and rear fenders that are not on the later model Plymouth. His looked very much like the Maroon Plymouth pictured, but without the sun visor and done in a darker green color.
